  • It really depends on the climate you're used to living in, the winters here are in the -20c range and yesterday it was 41c. I'm basically happy as long as it doesn't get within 10c of the extremes.

  • I've recently had really good luck with Finamp on Android at least. With the recent support of time lyrics in Jellyfin and Finamp's redesign I've been using that to stream my Flac audio files. Works quite well with separate collections as well. Though, to this day I still have to force close it more times than I like to get the UI to refresh after closing it. Plexamp was tough to lose when I swapped many years ago, but the third party space has slowly been closing that gap over the years.

  • Waiting for half of Lemmy to blame me, a Harris voter (unfortunately), who lives in a red state, for not telling enough people that "her genocide will be better". The democratic party has swung and missed for their voting base for at least the last 4 election cycles, maybe they start blaming themselves for a change.

  • I would argue regulation should come with (and typically be proportional to) scale. Google as an organization operates at an enormous scale. The scale of the amount links replaced with IA links will be large. The scale in amount in operational costs transferred to another organization is obviously worth it to Google. The sheer scale of everything and everyone involved should require Google to pay Internet Archive. In a decent world that is...
