  • Thanks friend. There was a hole other post this morning dedicated to people complaining about the content of the community. I do not get it. The nerve of people to just roll in and complain they don’t like the content. Just leave if you don’t like it. Nobody needs your bitching.

  • If the instance matters so much then perhaps this sub should be for politics local to wherever the server is physically sitting. And for that matter every sub should be the same. If I want to watch Asian porn then I should be expected to go to an instance located in Asia and then when the sub is named “porn” then I better not get my balls bunched up if I find non-Asians. When was the last time you decided to visit or not visit a website because you first had to ascertain where the server resided or what the domain was called?

  • Discussion and argument as it relates to US Politics is the point of the sub. You and others coming to complain about the basic rules for the community are not so welcome in my eyes. If you don’t like the rules the simply don’t participate or take it up with the mods privately.

  • Because it’s rude to stumble into a community and complain that you don’t like it or the rules. Plenty of people are getting along just fine here. People subscribe here to have a discourse on US Politics. You and others are here to disagree with somebody else’s decision for which you have no need to publicly take issue with.

  • Maybe you just shouldn’t assume what something is without reading the rules? The instance that this community is hosted on is entirely irrelevant to any argument of you understand the concept of the Fediverse.

    1. OP finds area of Internet they don’t like.
    2. Complains about it
    3. Keeps complaining about it
    4. Blames the guy that read the rules, agreed to the content, and decided to subscribe.

If you don’t like the rules then just leave. It’s not hard. Nobody is trying to make you stay or force you to like this community. Don’t like Fox News? Don’t go to FoxNews.com. Don’t like this sub? Content is not relevant? Just don’t visit here.

  • The votes are not relevant. The rules are. If you don’t like the rules then just leave. Maybe my opinion is unpopular in this case but that’s mostly because I’m giving you a truth you don’t want. This sub is for US Politics. Don’t like it? Don’t join.

  • The name is not vague. It’s “Politics” and the content matches that. If you read the rules, as you should with any community you subscribe to, you will find that the mods intended for the discussion to be around US politics. If you are looking for politics specific to some other country then you have stumbled upon the wrong community unfortunately. Rather than complain, just move on.

  • No, your argument is that it’s not hard to add two letters. My argument is that it’s not your business if you don’t like it. This whole post is silly. Just don’t participate or find a community more aligned with your interests rather than trying to coerce something out of this community. This is the Internet. Somebody made a community and you don’t like the name. Who gives a crap? Just move on to somewhere else.

  • It’s not too much because one community is no different from the rest. You didn’t like the sub on Reddit and you don’t like it here. No problem. Just don’t participate or start your own community.
