  • You might want to transfer your domain to another registrar. I use namecheap and they have a “catch all” option that’s free to use. You just set a single forwarding email and everything sent to your domain arrives there.

  • Not sure if there's a rackable case/mod for the Mac Studio, but the Mac Pro also has a rackable form factor (like a server) that some shops might like: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/mac-pro/rack

    This upgrade could fit Apple silicon into an existing audio/video workflow for some design/editing companies.

  • I would recommend putting that modem in Bridge mode and getting something like a TP-Link Omada device. I’ve had them for a while and have been really happy.

  • I would love a decentralized TikTok replacement. Aside from everybody's privacy complaints, TikTok has a really addictive delivery model.

    I would think that short video clips would be easier to federate than beefy 4k video files.

  • Yes I feel the same way. She was really the only character that could go toe to toe with Picard and not back down from her beliefs. The episode about Data talking to the kid from that dying planet (2x15: Pen Pals), she had her best scene in the conference room defending her point. Wish she stuck around.

    I think the Data antagonism was an interesting thing to explore and I wish she had a longer character arc of her learning to accept him.

  • Yes I have thought this about Twitter and Reddit and other text based social media. I’m not 100% sure that the majority of traffic and posts have been “seeded” by AI.

    My conspiracy theory is that these sites have a vested interest in driving traffic and appearing to have high engagement or participation rates for ad sales.

    Text is easy to generate with AI and the sites have a ton existing posts to train models on. What do they have to lose?
