  • Warioland 4 is amazing, and definitely one of Nintendo's greatest achievement. I didn't appreciate the weirdness as much as a kid, but going back to it, I simply love how off the wall it goes, and how it is halfway a Mario platformer and halfway a sonic game due to you having to rush back through the stages. If you have ever played Pizza Tower, this is the game that inspired it.

Speaking a Wario, the Warioware games were some of my favorite pick up and play titles. There is just so much to do, even after you finish the short campaign. The DS one is by far the best one though.

Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu's Fury are some of the best Dragon Ball games period, and are pretty decent RPGs in their own right as well. I more or less experienced the entire story of Dragonball Z through those games, and they do a fairly decent job of retelling the events (Aside from the first Legacy of Goku game, which is garbage.) If nothing else, give the music a listen. Not only are their some good remixes of the American DBZ soundtrack, but a lot of original songs that are masterpieces.

I may add more if I think of any

  • I always wanted to try the Summon Knight games, but never seen a copy out in the wild. I mostly remember it from write ups in Nintendo Power and word of mouth from the gaiaonline forums. Apparently the game was pretty gay for a game released in the early 2000s (at least if you played as the female protag)

I definitely enjoyed Sword of Mana, though it definitely felt unpolished compared to what Square was putting out in those days. I just remember the OST hitting pretty hard, and me holding the GBA up to my ear to jam to the songs.

  • Agreed. Really touching game that is a mix of light hearted joy, melancholy, and dread. Like it's one of those games that lures you in with the promise of a good time, and then smacks you across the face and makes you experience every possible emotion you are capable of. Then you walk away thankful for the experience.

  • hello brand new sentence.

  • I can say from my experience most women I know are gamers. I'd say the biggest difference is they tend to play more single player experiences. My older sister has always been a big jRPG nerd, and my younger sis was always into Bethesda games, especially Fallout. Meanwhile a lot of my friends are into life sim games like Stardew Valley, the Sims, and Animal Crossing, and we tend to play the latest big nintendo game together.

I am probably the only person in my group of friends that does anything remotely multiplayer, unless it's local or coop.

  • Agreed. Legal or not, I wouldn't even want to encourage that kind of sexualization.

  • Yay, another week of higher than normal activity, until the fomo kicks back in and they leave yet again cause "everyone is on X/this is sooo complicated/I just wanna see the fallout/whatever excuse justifies their addiction"

  • Agreed. I dealt with this same shit in my church and among some of my peers.

  • Joe: Wanna talk about it?
    Obama:...no
Joe: Would you talk about it to Jennifer Lopez?

  • I mean more so than expected. I guess years of reddit related brainrot conditions one to expect the worst constantly.

  • So basically Blahajzone became queer lemmyworld, when Ada's intentions were probably more akin to queer Beehaw.

If this is the case, I do hope another public facing queerspace does take blahajzone's place. It's been kinda nice to see such a group just accepted as part of the larger community, and it would be a damn shame to see them become cloistered off.

  • I mean, welcome to being queer. My sister basically has to live like that or otherwise she gets arrested or possibly murdered. The terrorist more or less do dictate her life.

Like I understand the frustration of being defederated, especially over an accusation as heavy as this. But I can't blame the bahaj team either for trying to be extra careful of making sure their community doesn't become a target for anyone trying to demonize them. I believe you when you say the content is legal, but it's not going to make a difference when someone like libsoftiktok screen cap adorableporn from the blajah instance and try to twist it into making them to be pedophiles. Also unless the OP makes it clear, it's not like the pictures themselves can vouche for their age.

  • I would like to hear more from Blahaj users, because for the most part, this thread has been listening to NSFW complain about the defedding, and expressing outrage, speculation and judgement about the defedding, from users who are ultimately unaffected by this defedding. I want to know if this is something their users agree with or not, from the users themselves.

Also, Blahaj isn't the only major instance to defed NSFW, but because of the nature of their sub, they seem to get the most attention over it.

  • I guess it beats not liking the conversation and it becoming locked.

  • Depending on the country, depictions of fauxbait can either be ay okay or borderline illegal. In places like Australia and Ireland, they have laws that are aimed at hentai, but because of the way they are worded, could also include fauxbait as well.

  • I'm sure discussion here will remain pleasant and mature with no problematic views, opinions or suggestions being thrown around at all.
