You can block the developer or publisher from appearing in the store for you at all.

Go to the developer or publisher page on Steam (found in the right column of the game listing) and click the gear icon to the right side of the banner to "Ignore" them.

But it also allows Ring owners to send videos they've captured with their Ring video doorbell cameras and outdoor security cameras to law enforcement. (...) If a crime has been committed, law enforcement should obtain a warrant to access civilian video footage.

This is utter nonsense... Anyone is free to voluntarily provide their own pictures and video to the police. A warrant is so that police can come and take it from you against your will.

If you can handle there being a few games that you just can't play, the time to switch to Linux began a couple of years ago.

They don't even get my actual phone number... They get a Google Voice number that is only active during work hours.

I use Dash to Panel to show taskbar icons for running applications, with the topbar moved to a sidebar to save valuable vertical real estate: https://i.imgur.com/tc0IbuM.png

I use the Workspaces Indicator extension to keep track of which one I'm in, but I use workspaces to focus on specific tasks using groups of applications... not an individual workspace for each application. I normally only have one or two workspaces in use.

I disable the Activities button and Overview (or Overlay or whatever they are calling it now) completely.

I previously used Arc Menu to replace the Applications View, but dropped that when they added folders to the Application View. It's still a bit clunky, but it's usable now.

Fedora is my daily driver.

I install Ubuntu LTS for family/friends, as the more stable software makes supporting them easier, and they should have a few years of no major problems if I get hit by a truck.

I just map my entire documents, pictures and other important home folders to subfolders inside Dropbox. This propagates all of my files across all of my computers via the cloud and makes everything accessible from my phone as well.

I don't worry about backing up my operating system, though important configuration file locations are also mapped into Dropbox for easily setting things up again. Complete portable apps are also located in Dropbox.

Without saying why you are leaving Fedora, it's not really possible to advise you... whatever we recommend may have the same mystery issue you are trying to escape.

I don't believe that's a Firefox issue, unless it's a problem specifically with the beta.

Some SSDs have fwupd support, but I'm not aware of a comprehensive list of them. I know some Samsung drives will get firmware updates automatically that way on Linux, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

No. Drivers are, but not firmware.
