    Sure, there will always be toxic people virtue signaling for attention, but it's not any less toxic to shame someone when they are legitimately trying to help.

  • People are self centered, and don't bother to take a deeper look at what is happening.

    They get their paycheck and see that the gubment took 24% of their money and feel like they've been robbed.

    At no point do they consider the years they spent in public school, or the roads they use to drive to work, or the ever present emergency services that will be available when they are needed.

  • Up until recently, I played Hearthstone every day for ten years. Some seasons were more fun than others, but ever since around November, I really haven't played it at all.

    So, I downloaded Balatro around November. I really did not expect to get addicted to that game.

    Right now, I'm kind of in between games, so I'm checking this list for ideas.

  • If you mean the classic black ball with a wick, they were pretty much hollow cannonballs filled with gunpowder and a wick. You'd light the wick, run, and the gunpowder would explode, flinging shards of cannonball everywhere.

  • Everybody is welcome to their own meaning, but I think the creators intent should be the only "official" meaning. Just to keep it consistent for historical sake.
