Personal style is a big part of breakdancing in general, but also being world class at it is important at the Olympics.

Yep, John Hersey’s “Hiroshima” scarred me for life (as well it should have) when I read it in 5th grade, especially as a Japanese American whose grandfathers fought on each side of the war.

I learned about this recently from Rachel Maddow’s Ultra podcast. It’s a crazy story and really puts current events into a better perspective. Highly recommended.

How can there be no genders if they’re revealing ganders which are expressly male?

I thought they had confirmed at least some of the image generation stuff happening locally. I am in the intelligence beta now and went offline and played around with Siri and lots of stuff worked. Not really doing much new right now, but the speed and quality of understanding and dealing with when you stumble over words are way better.

I had it backwards for a really long time because you draw / from front to back (ie you write it in a backwards direction) I thought that was the back slash. That still feels right to me despite being wrong.

It’s certainly not moving as fast as their promises (what ever does), and perhaps has slowed, but for me at least it’s too early to call a plateau. Perhaps someone who works in the field or follows more closely can provide a better characterization, though.

To be fair most of the map imagery we use from google/apple/etc is from planes and not satellites

I’m sitting here really hoping that models hit a plateau in capabilities soon. Continuing to get smaller/more efficient would be great, but if the capabilities of our best models would plateau for a bit and give society time to adjust to the impact I would be very happy.

People also seem to be completely brushing off him having a cold like it was just some campaign lie. To me that’s exactly what he looked like: completely out of it from being sick. What language are you programming in? In swift I have found all models (including sonnet) next to useless. Tells me something wrong almost every question i ask, has made up macros and apis, etc.

For English I have found Claude models slightly better than the GPT 4 subscription I used to have. For anything in multiple (human, not programming) languages, gpt has seemed best for me.

True for most of the franchise, but the ferengi are eventually. Also, I’m not sure if the federation prevents member worlds from continuing to have their own internal economies that could be market based. My guess is that they don’t and the ferengi will continue to use money for a long time.

They were the reason I stopped watching when it first aired. I’m glad society is catching on.

I’ve never heard of Logan Paul before and I think I’m going to not look them up and stay blissfully unaware of who they are.
