Well, I didn’t need to hold my breath. The power is back on! Thanks everyone for your kind words over the past few days, really helped.

Of course, now I can hear approaching thunder crackling in the distance. Another storm… 😳

8th night without power, in the Yarra Ranges. Really not good. The Outage Tracker seems to say that maybe tomorrow night late the power will be restored. Not holding my breath.

Up in the Dandenongs, with Puffing Billy, which hasn’t been running either.

Thanks RustyRaven. A friend has lent me a generator so I can get some work done during the day. And grab a hot shower. The things we take for granted…until they are taken away.

7th night without power.

You are right, it IS a long time. Things are more complicated up in the hills. Too many trees.

6th night without power. I’m so over it. Anxious AF.

Yesterday the UK were 9 hours behind Melbourne. Today they are 10 hours behind. In a month when they drop out of daylight saving, they will be 11 hours behind Melbourne. I need to talk with UK people for work. Not looking pretty.

Would like to support Brisbane but difficult as they are not Victorian (although they once were Fitzroy). Tried to support Collingwood but can’t because…you know…they’re Collingwood. Think you have to be born a Collingwood supporter to support them. This day will not end well for me.

One good friend of mine is a hard core Collingwood supporter. Another good friend of mine passionately supports Brisbane. Both want me on their side today. Today’s Grand Final will be…something I have to carefully negotiate. Help!

True, we did. But I think my mood needs days over 25°. More of those please.

It is finally Spring Equinox. When will it get warm? I’m tired of the months of rainy, chilly weather. Need warmth to lift my mood.
