Processed unhealthy foods are generally viewed as the items that have been stripped down in to some degree and then reassembled with ingredients like sugar, preservatives, flavors, dyes, stabilizers, etc.
I’ve got a hard time glorifying potentially deadly sports. Hang on, I know the next comment is gonna be about something like F1 racing or something, but even F1 goes to great lengths to protect the drivers as much as reasonably possible. It’d be like going back to car racing in open air, no crashworthiness, no helmet, no HALO, etc. to compare to free climbing like this. This guy dies and people will idolize someone playing with suicide. Don’t particularly care if he dies doing it for himself, but the attention he gets could be done without.
Consider that surveys also indicate that 30-40% of the US are essentially “Trump No Matter What” people. Maybe some variation depending on the issue.
So 60% isn’t too far off the mark for people not supporting everything trump does.
E: 48.3% of registered voters voted for Harris. Maybe if that extra ~12% of Americans that are unhappy about Trump had gotten off their asses and voted we might be complaining about a crappy Neo-Liberal instead of a straight up fascist takeover.
No sane person who has been paying attention to global politics would make that mistake. I’ve been watching Canada’s elections with a lot of wary interest. It looks like they’ll be ok. For now.
Gotta love the hollow morality in telling users they’ve been psychologically manipulated this time but yet do nothing about the tens of thousands of bots doing the exact same thing 24/7 the rest of the time.
It’s a little less used these days. I have German family, they’re all older, so the saying may be out of style compared to their time. It’s usually “best sauce” but I’ve also heard “beste Koch” as well.
Not much substance to this article other than saying it’s pretty much a ripoff of Chicago.
Also, profiting off Mangione this way is about as American as it gets.
