  • They want everyone to use their shitty app so yours forced to see the avatars of other posters, thus subliminally making you want an avatar to "fit in"

When I used infinity all you saw was the username of who made a post or comment, and the content they posted itself. You don't need avatars for reddit, its an anonymous website(for now)

  • I agree. I'm not going to advocate for public transportation if I take the risk of running into a weirdo like this, or even worse.

At least in my car, I'm guaranteed to not run into weirdos or gross conditions caused by ill adjusted members of society.

  • I would imagine most users change their password by only 1 character, and maybe even in sequential order.

When time comes to change the password, it becomes password1234 instead of password123. Or password234. Something easy to remember, most users don't care about best security practices, and changing to a similar password is very convenient. Especially if it's "only" for work stuff

  • Let reddit users stay there, a lot of us are on Lemmy because we don't like the direction reddit is headed.

It doesn't impact us if reddit gets good traffic.

That being said, I'm rooting for reddits downfall and it's very entertaining seeing the backlash

  • A lot of cars already have access ports made by third parties to flash ECU tunes on.

If cars like this become the norm, I'm sure we'll see a lot more of these to bypass paywalls on your own cars

  • This is one of of the things that concerns me about society.

There are plenty of people who are unwilling to put in 5 minutes to learn a new skill, such as joining lemmy, and they chalk it up to being unable to.

  • From my experience with PCMR on reddit since 2017, I've never encountered any pro nazi'ism. This community has always been against those ideals.

Changing the name will do nothing except disenfranchise current members, and make it seem like PCMR was pro-nazi in the past, which it never, ever, was.
