He was always a jackass, he just used to be a quiet jackass that nobody ever heard from so we couldn't tell. Now that he is fully incapable of shutting the fuck up, his jackassery is on full display.

This is the way. It's perfectly okay to want to support a third party, but it isn't done by wasting your FPTP vote.

The problem with that is that Republicans are always saying that Government doesn't work and the whole system is dysfunctional, so when they turn around and deliberately break it they'll just tell their idiot constituents that they were obviously right the whole time.

It's why it's so newsworthy whenever one of them declares that Trump "Deserved to be Charged" after he admitted he lost the election.

Where are they? Exactly where they always were.

On the Left and amid the DNC, there has always been a lack of unity. The Democrats in general display a stark willingness to turn against their own, to eat their own candidate, in the event of a failure. A favored politician gets caught sending inappropriate pictures to someone who isn't their spouse? Their career is over. An incumbent fucks up a debate? Their base splits and explodes and forces them out. On the left, you can't fuck up and still expect unwavering support like you could on the Right.

On the right, the cries about age and fitness are being shown as bad faith arguments. The fact that they still support their pants-shitting senile rambler felon of a candidate makes it pretty clear that they don't actually care THAT MUCH about age and fitness. It was just a convenient weapon they could turn turn against Biden, because he was very slightly older than Trump, and when Trump babbles like an imbecile that's just his normal. He's always been unfit, as opposed to recently declining to that level.

Disk is for things that are more kiki, but disc, with that rounded off c, is for things that are more bouba.

But also you just don't need to. I didn't realize that not everyone took the ASVAB. My public High School administered it to everyone (May have been an opt out option, don't remember) and I did pretty well. As a result, I was contacted by recruiters two or three times, promptly said I wasn't interested, and that was the end of it.

We knew this already. Look at all his old quotes about soldiers, look at how he shit-talks them at every turn, calling them losers and suckers, saying he doesn't understand why a smart person would ever join the military. Trump barely even bothers to veil his true feelings for soldiers, which lay somewhere between contempt and mockery.

And they should. They want us to remember the games, to look forward to 4, and completely forget there was ever a movie.

With any luck they'll single handedly keep "AAAA" from catching on, because nobody with a shred of pride would want their multi-million dollar project connected to anything that was said to be AAAA.

Yeah? That's... how LLMs work. It doesn't KNOW anything, it's a glorified auto-fill. It knows what words look good after what's already there, it doesn't care whether anything it's saying is correct, it doesn't KNOW if it's correct. It doesn't know what correct even is. It isn't made to lie or tell the truth, those concepts are completely unknown to it's function.

LLMs like ChatGPT are explicitly and only good at composing replies that look good. They are Convincing. That's it. It will confidently and convincingly make shit up.

He says he's about free speech because he agreed with the kinds of speech that get excluded from civil discussion. He considered people getting shunned for racist opinions to be censorship, while he considers terminating the accounts of anyone who disagrees with him to be his prerogative and perfectly fair.

Elon Musk has never actually stood for "Free Speech," only for the speech he likes. He SAYS he likes free speech purely because it has better optics for him and worse optics for his opposition than "Let me say racist things."

That's definitely not why he bought Twitter though.

Just to be clear, luring him into a basement and then bricking him into a small chamber in the wall is not a valid option, right? I just want to be sure we're all on the same page.

It seems like every other day, Trump does something that would have been absolutely career-ending for anyone else. I think he's kept his campaign from going down the toilet by just making sure it was completely clogged.
