Oh yeah, it's not that many months ago California used prison labor to put out fires for next to no pay.

A big lithium deposit was found in Oregon recently. I can't wait to see the mining workforce being brought in from other countries because Americans don't have the skills to do it themselves.

I still use ctrl+ins and shift+ins every now and then. I've hit ctrl+shift+c a few times while in my browser (Vivaldi) which unfortunately is bound to "create note". Ctrl+ins is a great workaround than using an extra neuron when in a terminal to also hit shift when copying.

In Denmark we had a service called "Miss Time" (Frøken Klokken) where you could dial 155 and get the time. You could just about get the current time in a phone booth without needing to pay, which I used pretty regularly during my paper route.
