  • You can also search for "starter packs" of helpful people to follow in whatever you are interested in, e.g., history, cooking, overthrowing the government, etc.

  • Um, you know those companies can sell weapons and craft to other countries right? Trump will still be happy for Europeans to buy weapons.

  • ...and they are BIG!

  • No, but I have a close relation who is both on the spectrum and in therapy who was told this. In the distant past I did have a background in medical research, so I went to PubMed and looked it up for them to confirm.

  • For extra context, various therapeutic methods do not work as well on neurodivergent people, especially people on the spectrum. CBT, one of the main go-to (adjunctive at least) therapies for example, is nearly useless for most folks on the spectrum.

So it may be that their therapists discovered they were not equipped to help op with their issue(s).

  • Great. Now how do I get them to delete my data and account?

  • This is the second thread I've seen today with contentious talk about sharpening knives, and I have to ask both sides: do none of you live near a knife sharpening place? I pay EUR 5 per knife two to three times a year, and my knives are always sharp.

Dull knives are dangerous and make prep real chore.

  • I'm in this image, and I do not like it.

  • False flag crossed my mind as well, but it would require an absolutely massive conspiracy between federal, local LE, and some very dumb hicks that simply could not happen unnoticed.

  • They’re coming for you even then if you aren’t rich.

Yep. There's "rich" relative to most folks, then there is couldn't-spend-all-my-interest-income-in-a-thousand-lifetimes rich.

The real leopards know which is which.

  • Unless you are white, male, CIS-het, and an evangelical Xian, they are coming for you to. You're just a bit further down the list.

  • Name checks out.

  • I understand your sentiment internet friend. It made me insane too (and I have dual citizenship and have lived outside the States for a very long time).

But with the recent SCOTUS rulings + the planning that went into P25, this time is truly, uniquely different. If Trump wins this time, it is game over for any future ways to save democracy and anyone but cis, white, het Xian men and the women who remain subservient to them. There will be no "close your eyes and think of England" for four years then back to normal. There will be no way back to normal for generations.

So my thought is that anything, anything that gets the attention of even one more prospective Dem voter is ok.

  • You have to buy the book dummy - it's always a grift inside a grift. Here, spend some coin: https://www.project2025.org/policy/

I have not bought the book. Many, many scholars have. I suppose they are all lying though, you know, deep state this that or something?

  • Yeah for sure, avoid big groups of British English speaking dudes for sure (and some of my best friends are English and they would agree!)

  • Fair enough!

It's still possible, in my opinion, to visit as a "tourist" (I live in Haarlem now, so technically I'm a tourist when I go) and avoid all the trashy stuff. You can seek out the cool little neighborhoods like the Jordaan or de Pijp.

Oh simply be polite and most of all have a sense of your surroundings/situational awareness, i.e., don't get in the way. You probably want to spend as little time in the main "downtown" area (roughly central station to the Rokin) as possible.

Although everyone under 80 years old speak near-native English (I exaggerate), you'll endear yourself by learning to say good morning, good evening, thanks, and please in Dutch and to start conversations by asking "Is English ok?" in Dutch.

Basically just don't be a jerk and the native Amsterdamers will happily take your holiday money.
