i hope is a bug. the hide button should tell the lemmy instance that i have read the post, so not show it again.
rn to block a community, you have to open it. maybe this could be ported to the 3 dot menù. or the block and filter functionality can be merged and ported into lemmy.
i think they added the ability to force upload a photo in one of the latest releases, see it that helps.otherwise yes, you have to delete that record from the db...
