Well sure, that was an important argument years ago when the ACA was being written. I hope you wrote your representatives then, because instead of electing progressive members who could evolve the ACA to your wishes, a regressive majority was elected to make it worse. Elections have consequences. The DOJ only enforces laws that have been written. Again, elections have consequences.

That gun is unusual. It's a Welrod, and expensive for a pistol, going for as much as $15K. If the shooter was smart, he would have ditched the gun, but they have yet to find it. In any case, ballistic analysis should be able to sort this out quickly.

When it comes to attacks on democratic norms, people just don't care. They generally don't understand the principles so it gets a collective shrug. Any education reforms should include a greater emphasis on Civics.
