  • 6 is a direct sequel to 5, which was a reboot (and partially remake of with how much got recycled) 4.

I don't think we'll ever get a continuation of EDF 3/4 (2017/2025) aside from the continuity nod that was World Brothers.

  • Greeding corporations saw something was popular and profitable 10 years ago and are now doing everything they can to take a slice of the pie and get their fingers it. With more hands in the pan, there is less pie to go around, so they squeezing every last dollar they can out while lying to consumers about why. The income on these ventures is so laughably high and many production costs of the few original programming offered so low that they could cover everything on 5 dollars a month if not less. But if they did that they couldn't give their executives million dollar bonuses, which is the only reason they are in the business.

  • 80% of the game was already made in the form of Fallout 3. 10 years prior NV would have been considered an expansion pack, not a standalone game. Most of what they did was story work and added a few new things like gambling mini games and use the ingame editor to make new npc faces and clothing. It was an impressive undertaking but they still bit off more than they could chew

  • For anyone who wasn't into Fallout in 2010 when the game launched: it was a fucking disaster. Crashes, broken story triggers and in some cases completely unplayable. The fact that it got 80 was a miracle and it was only months after their original deadline they got the game working. A lot of fans were also rightfully pissed DLC was beinf dropped before patches for day one bugs.

  • Majority of their pay was contracted on a bonus to be awarded if they for a metacritic score of 85 by a certain deadline after launch.

The game was rushed and underfunded and Obsidian wasn't really up to the task resulting in a pretty catastrophic launch that took over a year to fix all the bugs while also shoveling out DLC.

They were decieved into thinking it'd be an easy job and missed the mark just like how they fumbled the KotoR2 launch just 6 years priorr. And lost their bonuses as a result.

  • Because he's always weaponized the courts to slap people opposed to him and doesn't understand 90% of his business empire is based on illicit activities. The first dollar he ever made wasn't even obtained legally because his father put one month old donny down as a landlord so he'd get income at a lower tax rate. 70+ years later he's still shitting in diapers and having people smarter than him find loopholes and schemes to hide how he puts more money in his pocket.

  • Nuclear plants wouldn't take so long to build if people stopped trying to sue and protest their construction and sabotage it with all the red tape. If permits were approved and certified tomorrow a new plant could be operational in 10 years. 5 if it was actually funded and supported. Building the plant is easy, its cuttinf through the red tape encouraged by the oil lobby that is takes decades

  • I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Nuclear displaces fossil fuels at a better rate than renewables and is just as low carbon impact as them. We could replace the entire fossil grid with nuclear in 10 years if there was public support and demand for it, but fossil giants have been parroting the same antinuclear myths and fears dor the last 70 years and its so widely spread even pro renewable people have been deluded into thinking nuclear is bad for the planet when it might very well be our last best hope of fixing greenhouse emissions without the entire world reverting to pre industrial lifestyles.
