  • Precisely what the share holders don't want people to know. They worship money and what the public to think more money = more good. If people realize these investor backed products are generally not anything better than someone can make in their garage they'll stop buying overpriced junk. So here we are about to see how the sausage gets made.

  • I'm more likely to believe the Houthis just fucked up here, retaliatory strikes disabled their ability to discriminate targets they want to strike and those they don't. Or the people they have launching the missiles not properly trained and educated on how to confirm targets. While there is a possibility this was an intentional strike on a Russian flagged ship, I have my own doubts given their general history with Russia and China and previous statements.

  • The only reason they were making a sequel was because there was going to be a competitor to their 10 year old game that would absolutely take the market share of this niche. Now that the competition died they can put the devs back to making a bunch of overpriced DLC for another 10 years or when ever another viable competitive game shows up on their radar.

EA knows their current Sims game has been a flop they had to make the base game free to play. They wanted a games as service model but 2013 SimCity had such a strong backlash they had to scramble to make it something else and hope no one noticed. So here we are with an underperforming game from a series that pretty much always topped the charts when it released a new game or expansion pack. Thats how bad they screwed up.

  • I was kind of hoping they would make it coop, my SO loves Zelda series and I definitely think they'd love a game with the breadth of BotW or TotK but optional coop elements. Their biggest complaint about those and past gen Zelda games was we can't play together.

  • On its own its a dumb idea, but I do think another commenter had it on the money how this is more a ploy to catch trump with his pants down. Trump can either agree and piss off his pro gun base (and look like a coward given his previous statements), he can argue against it and seem like hes inviting more violence and alienate anyone in his base who thinks gun violence is bad. Or he can ignore it and look like hes a doddering old fool oblivious to whats happening around him.

  • Shows you how the independents and left aren't strictly anitgun. Was such a huge blunder on his part and the person asking him gave him repeated chances to walk it back and clarify it to not mean what he said, and he still insisted on total ban.

  • The ones that are antiabortion or evangelicals who don't own guns. GOP has the most gun owners but its not even like half their voters. Vocal minorities is all it is.

The only issue the GOP is actually united on right now is how they don't like democrats.

  • Problem with American politics is there tens of millions of people on both sides of the party split who abhor the candidate they've voted for but that's the candidate that won the primaries. So their options are vote their party, or waste their vote not voting, voting third party or voting the opposition party.

  • Wet stowage wasn't shells immersed in water or other liquids. It was thin walled tanks between the ammo on the racks so if the compartment got hit, water would hopefully spill out of the reservoir where it was hit and douse any sparks or fire before the ammo could cook off. It was effective at the time, but advancements in the charges used mean that just a few decades later water really wouldn't be able to deal with a fire and the heat in time, so modern NATO tanks use blowout panels instead now to channel any exolision away from the crew compartment.

  • In the short term it would be fine, as long as the shell was wiped down and dried before being put in the breach. But historically, no one ever just had shells sitting in water or liquid. Would make way too much of a mess.
