Every moment in time is unique, every second that passes is a new second with a new world state. Yes there are similarities and patterns, but by shifting your focus you can always find a new way to look at the world.
Instead of trying to recreate Christmas morning 1995 for yourself, try to create Christmas morning 2025 for someone else.
Exactly. I’d also say that evidence of Trump’s crimes don’t matter to the people who support him because his crimes don’t matter to the people who support him.
Making me pay $80 for Mario Kart World impacts me way more directly than a company exploiting public water resources, ergo Nintendo is more evil than Nestle.
“Dream” concept leaves us in total chaos without even a theoretical chance to figure out how things work.
I disagree. There’s no reason the scientific method (observe, question, hypothesize, experiment, record data, draw conclusions) can’t be applied in dreams.
Just because your dreams aren’t consistent or logical doesn’t mean it’s impossible to have a logically consistent dream.
My go to response is usually “what do you mean by that?” Generally people say stuff like that to imply it’s impossible to “know” anything. But does it really matter if this is a dream or not?
Specifically a criticism of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics. Schrödinger’s thought experiment is intended to make a person consider where/when the wave function is supposed to collapse.
Pilot-wave theory is another interesting interpretation. I feel like it’s a much more “intuitive” interpretation.
There’s plenty of civil conflict. Trump is trying to make it uncivil by calling in the military (as if local police weren’t already militarized enough).
Definitely died as heroes.
