Neovim (heavily customized configuration) + tmux for me. Switched from Jetbrains IDE and VSCode to this ~5 years ago.
I use neovim with every language.
Fast to use, one app for all and I have customized that to my liking and I already spent half of my time in terminal while working anyway. + knowing how to use vim helps a lot when configuring servers remotely.
I jumped to foldables when Fold 3 hit the market. Never looked back, I really liked that form factor. Tri-Folds are another story, as long screen isn't hard and scratch resistant as normal glass, I could never even think about getting one.
And there is higher price to pay and some things you need to look out (ex. inner screen) when being early adopter. I knew this and I don't have issue with that, but it's not for everyone.
I had to replace inner screen protector ~once a year with Fold 3. Don't know how Fold 6 will handle that.
..tho I never paid a cent for inner screen protector replacement. First time was paid by Samsung (it was under warranty), second time shop broke screen while they were removing protector, so I got new inner screen + battery + screen protector for free. Third time I had to replace that protector, I sold my phone before I could do that and switched to Fold 6 🤷
My only gripe with tri-foldable are those screens.
Even with Fold series, inner screen gets scratched pretty easily compared to normal glass screen. I don't see tri-foldable screen handling that any better. Otherwise tech is cool.
Long battery life (one less thing to charge. It’s annoying to need extra cables when traveling)
I can charge my Samsung watch with my Samsung phone while charging my phone with single cable.
I still would want longer battery life, but extra cable isn't the issue for me.
Depends on usage. If you don't need super fast speeds or low latency, go for cheaper model.
If you need low latency and high speeds (ex. Wireless VR with PC), you need to pay more to get good and stable connection (+ multiple routers as mesh if needed).
And more expensive devices have different CPU/RAM which will help you if you have large network + extra security features on.
I was Nano user and I liked it. After I learned to use Vim, I liked it more.
Now when I use nano it's frustrating to use and I can do things much faster and easier in vim 😅
Just to be clear, never said that I used all of those. Just made quick list of most popular apps to use here :P
If I had to guess, over 95% of people here just use WhatsApp.
They all have pretty much same functionality what traditional sms is missing.
And US still has very expensive data plans compared to Finland (I pay 21e/month for unlimited 200mbps data, calls, sms).
That could also be one factor why SMS is still used there so much 🤔
