  • Honey, pack up your stuff and get the kids. We're moving.

  • First time I meet someone who feels the same. We are from the same plane of existence it seems. The DM plane or something.

  • I hear the same thing echoed from a lot of DMs. Weirdly I don't really have an itch to play at all. Like ever. Been 20 years or so.

I get to play sometimes because my one group is all DMs so between each chapter someone else does DM a 5 to 6 session adventure. But whenever I play I'd just rather DM instead 🤷🏻‍♂️

But it's nice to steal some tricks from fellow DMs and it's not like I hate playing.

  • Buds, Bongs & Beyond is such a great name.

  • I don't even like playing all that much and prefer DMing.

  • Rename it to Stör Island and I might come over.

  • Ich dachte wir stör'n unsere maimais selbst.

  • You have Alpacas 😲

  • My wife: 'You really have a dice problem'

Me: 'I'm so glad you see it too'

My wife: 'I mean... It's really hard to miss!!'

Me: 'Exactly! I don't have any icy blue translucent dice yet but I'm playing a frost mage!'

My wife: 'that's not at all what I meant.'

Me: 'hey if I order all translucent dice in a set I save shipping.'

    My wife: 'I'm leaving you.'

Me: 'But not the campaign are you? Cus I ordered some bear themed dice for your bear barbarian.'

    My wife: 'Awwww.'

Now we both have a dice problem.

  • Not sure the bro is worth that much extra travel.

  • The classic "let's use the worst option because the alternative isn't perfect" fallacy.

  • I haven't found a way to actually rest properly. Closest I come is doing something which requires Littles focus, has basically no state of failure but is still satisfying to me.

For me that's painting miniatures. I can remove the paint and repaint if I don't like the result. It requires focus but for me very little and it allows me to rest my mind or listen to a podcast or music while doing so.

Few other activities work for me. Video games can work but only if the game is super chill and requires little focus like Dorfrimantik for example. Or turn based games on general such as civilization. But there is still the addiction issue you talked about.

But overall it's tough. Actually resting also makes me depressed. I need to do stimulating activities to keep my mind healthy. That issue is especially noticeable when any job makes me too exhausted or eats all my time to do my hobbies.

  • It's among the least intimidating games I ever played. You statt super simple and progress at your own pace. At any time you have different things you can do but you're free to focus on what you enjoy most.

Now you can optinize and rush certain rewards etc. But for the first playthrough just do whatever looks cool. It's such a fun game.

Guess I talked myself into another playthrough.

  • True for me as well. After a day of peopleing having a phone call too is exalhausting. But on a day off doing a few calls is a non issue for me.

  • But what do they pray to?

  • No, a real adult.

  • Hahaahahahahahah
