  • My thing is when browsing all I want to see all, not just the most popular communities. The Hot/rising functions don't seem to work that well at least on kbin.

So I blocked a lot of the communities that show up too much or the ones that will never have anything of interest to me. It's better.

  • It looks like a garage with a house attached to it rather than the other way round.

My dream house is 80% garage/workshop.

But yeah, this one looks strange. I think because the garage juts out forward.

  • Hamas has in their charter, calls for the extermination of the Israelites and rejection of peace settlements.

    So yeah they're terrorists.

France and Ukraine didn't/don't have the goal of exterminating all Germans/Russians.

There's no world where Israel and Palestine peacefully coexist. And you can't compromise or negotiate with someone whos official stance is "We want your race dead and will reject all peace deals"

  • Also, them being a lawyer, knowing what not to say to avoid pissing off the wrong people is pretty important. Even if it's something they truly believe, if it's something that could piss off a jury or judge they might just be living in their soapbox after they're out of a job.

I know we'd expect better from a judge but, again, look at reality, and then juries might not like you because your tie doesn't match your shirt.

  • Especially when the job you're loking for is at a law firm...in NYC...and the political comments are essentially saying "the Jews are responsible for the bad thing that happened to the Jews"

That's not exactly going to be great for your career.

  • the eye closes on LTE after about 25km, resulting in “bars” on the phone but no ability to transfer data.

I've noticed this in the mountains as well, even though I don't think I'm that far from the tower I guess the normal cell signal bounces off the rock and stays readable but the data does not. Usually pretty close that they go out but as I go into a valley/ravine/hollow/canyon I do lose data first, while I still have 3/5 bars.

  • You'd have to convince everyone to switch to it and most Americans are going to have the reaction of: "Why would I want another fucking app that I have to make another damn account for when I have something that does pretty much what I want built in"

Activity groups will usually use some other service for member messaging (ex: my D&D group uses Discord for campaign discussion even though we all have eachothers phone numbers, a outdoor activity groups like a hiking group may use a facebook page, etc.)

  • Transport Layer Security, or TLS, is a widely adopted security protocol designed to facilitate privacy and data security for communications over the Internet. A primary use case of TLS is encrypting the communication between web applications and servers, such as web browsers loading a website.

  • He shouldn’t have been that close to homes in the first place though

It's an airpark. It's like an HOA for pilots where the ammenities are taxiways from your house to the runway. Some will even have the hangar in their back yard where it can go straight onto the runway.

You can get a better idea searching airpark on google images.

  • Some people make homemade or mix it up but having the red cylinder of holiday spirit it pretty much tradiition at this point. Even if you don't want to eat it it needs to be there as decoration.

I need a silicon one I can just leave out on the coffee table all fall and winter like the fake fruit some people have.

  • Yeah but the CO2 is very much going to encourage you to leave. If you breathe 50% CO2, you're gonna know it.

Breathe Halon and I think your voice will get deeper but you won't be in pain.

  • I think that's already the case in many situations.

Thing is a given system is going to need a given number of sats in specific orbits. Sure you can add earth observation equipment (weather, sat imagery etc) to almost anything (albeit maybe not that useful in some orbits) but you can't really combine Satellite TV and GPS.

I'd also like to point out, every time Starlink launches, you get articles like these showing multiple streaks across some image from a telescope. Those images are 100% intentionally gathered. And Starlink is only that bright while maneuvering and very near sunset and sunrise. Once they are in their final location they dim down.
