I understand your pessimism as a Pole, as I feel similarly about my doomed country, the US. People will be turning more and more toward reaction as the imperial periphery rightfully severs ties. But, we must remember that with fascism emerges it’s dialectical identity (opposite) communism. If we organize we can triumph, for we fight for the whole human race. I personally think that fascism cannot last forever due to its internal contradictions, but extinction can. I have hope in those fighting in South Africa, Kenya, and other places, if not for the global north. We must remember what Gramsci wrote from prison:
You must realize that I am far from feeling beaten…it seems to me that… a man out to be deeply convinced that the source of his own moral forceis in himself — his very energy and will, the iron coherence of ends and means — thathe never falls into those vulgar, banal moods, pessimism and optimism. My own stateof mind synthesizes these two feelings and transcends them: my mind is pessimistic,but my will is optimistic. Whatever the situation, I imagine the worst that could happen in order to summon up all my reserves and will power to overcome every obstacle.
P.S. I happened to be listening to ‘Christmas truce’ by Sabaton when I wrote this and it helped me gain a little optimism

As one such ‘later’ zoomer, that is very true. Most of us are very alienated. I know some people who spent over half of their day on their phone when they’re not in school. I personally have to force myself to actually read, and talk to people, but I’m making some progress. I’m somewhat lucky for my attention span’s sake that I was a Redditor (no longer) and not a Tiktoker, as that seems to drain brains faster.

He got people to tell him which torture methods were the most painful, then instead of getting them eliminated he told the torturers to escalate certain methods. He took pleasure in their pain. Previously, force feeding was done only lightly and relatively not painfully (through injection through nose), after Desantis, the syringes for force feeding were sharp and it was done more roughly, and people were left with nose bleeds. I’m not sure the exact origin, either trotskyists who obviously didn’t like Stalin because he exiled their dude or kruschevites who didn’t like people still supporting Stalin after the official position was against, but basically it’s a sort of “political slur” similar to “tankie” that is Used by leftcoms and trots to demonize AES as not real socialism because they were “too authoritarian” and distance themselves from being lumped in to the same category or that they would have led the Union up to WWII better without the gulags or kulak suppression and that Stalin wasn’t a real Leninist, and by anti-communists who want to declare some communists as especially bad, as they associate Stalin with some of the “worst of socialism.” That should answer it, not sure if I’ve got everything right, though.
RT is so weird, it’s like peak “freeze peach,” you’ll find the worst people who have probably been on infowars a couple of times, next to genuine anti-imperialists who had difficulty finding a platform other places.
