The sad thing is that leads to graduates that don’t understand why they aren’t getting hired. I give zero shits about a candidates GPA. All that tells me is that they can take tests well.It doesn’t tell me anything about their work ethic, reliability, critical thinking, how they handle customers/peers.

It’s probably a combination of the surely, salty, teenage years when they figure out the world sucks and it’s broken and him seeing the new baby as a threat.
I would schedule one on one time with him now and stick to it. He isn’t going to want to do that more than likely but now is the time to be his dad more than ever. Play games, even asking questions about what plays, play cards, board games, take him to concerts that he likes, do things he likes. Then when the baby comes spend at least an hour a week with him doing the same to stay consistent.
It’s not embarrassing, it’s a beta. This will 100% get better over the months. It always does.
