Dude, you are getting too invested in the million dollar number. I just threw that out there because it was easier to say than 1.7 million dollars. The main thing is CHEAPER.
The first house is CHEAPER than the second house, but developers prefer to build a bunch of houses like the second photo because they make more profit, since it costs 50% or more than the first house.
