  • Right there with you. Spent about 45$ on an Aurora, got a free Mustang, and did a CCU into a nomad. I'm not upset with the money I spent on the game. Gotten way more out of it just vibing in universe, flying over each new planet at they add it.

I doubt it'll ever launch though. Those who have invested thousands of dollars into it are bound to be salty when the towel is thrown in.

  • He mentioned in the video that its the possibility of integration, and its just an app you can choose to install or not - the app I'm fine with. Baking it into the OS of the watch is an instant cancelation of order from me. Its a bloody watch with a few extra features, I dont want it to talk, Or think, or do anything but tell time and show me notifications from my phone so I know if I can't ignore it.

  • I dont disbelieve this - but where did you see that announcement? I wish to know more, and potentially cancel my preorder depending on what I see. I went hunting in their usual channels for updates but not seeing anything related to this.

  • I just took portable ones and ziptied them to my balcony connected to a solar generator. Works to feed all my electronics and server equipment. It only connects to the grid if its depleted, never feeds power back in.

So you can still do this in the states, so long as you're not feeding into the grid.

  • Yep. Smaller, more energy efficient (extremes expensive electricity here, over 1€/kW at peak time summers), and more temperature resiliant (had to shut the rust based nas down in peak summer months as it could not keep drives cool enough with 3k rpm ippc fans)

11x 4tb drives in mine. Raidz3. Paired with a Xeon and 64gb of ram. All in a 5L case.

  • I dont need much in a laptop, it would be replacing my Lenovo x220t thats really starting to show its age now. So even a 13th gen is a vast improvement, I was just hoping for a more efficient chip for battery life, or a higher performing one so it'll last as long as possible, since I try to keep hardware for as long as possible

  • Is X1Plus available for the P1S? If it is, that's what you should switch to in LAN only mode. Can slice with anything and feed it over to the printer.

It's what I did with mine, even though it was in LAN only mode already. Switch over before they disable that option. Already working on selling it though so I can get a Prusa CORE.

  • I do like that it exists, but the change from 16:10 to 16:9 is a hard no for me. Probably the only off the shelf option for a screen to mash into the device though. Plus, the cost of it is nearly half the cost of just getting a refurb OLED deck, can sell the LCD one and get a new one for roughly the same overall cost as upgrading without all the downsides.

  • Their 65" signage TV with CM4 slot retails at 1300$, while its not a fancy micro led with direct lighting, it's never going to spy on you. To me thats a worthy tradeoff. If I needed a TV in my life, thats what I'd be getting.
