  • If you had empathy, you wouldn't try to get your boss fired. Even shitty people deserve an income. Just something we have to put up with as a society until we get UBI.

  • How does one flee the country when you live paycheck to paycheck and provide no skills that could be useful to a country's economy? I'm decent with computers but that's about it.

What country would even take me without me having to lower my already low standard of living? At the very minimum, I need a house with a yard + garage (I'm tired of condo/apartment living) and affordable gigabit internet. No legal weed is a deal breaker as well. Can't eat or sleep without it.

  • Most people have not been paying attention. Their knowledge of politics ends with what they remembered from school and the occasional AI-generated rage bait they see on social media.

  • You think that's crazy, try being in the same house as a cat when you're tripping on psychedelics. They know when you've entered their realm, and the cheeky little bastards like to take advantage of that fact.

I had this one cat that was a normal cat when I was sober, but liked to pop in and out of existence whenever I was on 25i/2c-e/LSD/etc. This one time I hear him meowing from across the house; I turn towards the sound, and suddenly he's rubbing against my legs and purring. Reach down to pet him and he's gone. It was some seriously freaky shit.

  • Again, you don't need a VPN if you follow my guide. Your reading comprehension is worse than mine, and I have ADHD. sigh*

  • If they're an indoor cat, buy a cat harness and take them on a walk. Preferably one with a long leash.

Do not try to walk them like a dog; that will never work.

Cats are fiercely independent; try to force them in a particular direction and they'll protest. Let them lead the way.

If they try to go somewhere dangerous, simply stand in place and do not allow them to progress any further. Do not tug, they will eventually get the message on their own.

Be prepared to spend a half hour minimum outside, ideally an hour or more. Cats like to take their time on a walk.

  • I keep telling my girlfriend this but she doesn't listen. "I see her drinking her water all the time!", she says. Yeah well she'd drink a lot more if you moved her water bowl!

It frustrates me so much because kidney failure is extremely common in cats due to low water intake. She claims that she loves her cat so much yet refuses to research this shit.

Meanwhile I have two water fountains for my kitty—both far away from the food—and let him drink from sink anytime he wants. She never lets him because he gets in the way of her "skincare routine", but I am of the opinion that you should never pass up on an opportunity for your cat to drink more water.

  • If you're paying rent, it is expected that a dishwasher is included in the cost of your rent. If it's not, you need to find a place that provides basic appliances. It is the landlord's responsibility to provide a dishwasher, not yours.

  • Bro you asked for a guide, I gave you a guide. The fuck you want from me? (For convenience sake I even made as short as possible. Literally less than a 45 second read.)

I put a lot of effort into that comment to help you out, and instead of saying "thank you", you respond with this bullshit? What the hell is wrong with you?

    Ungrateful prick.

  • Are you using a Debrid service with it? It's a much better experience if you are. Give Real-Debrid a try with Stremio. It'll change your opinion.

  • Because in order to sanitize, the water temperature needs to be above 60°C/140°F. It is impossible to get the water that hot when hand washing. You would burn yourself immediately.

  • Again, not an issue if you use a Debrid service, because no files are being uploaded.

  • Exactly, which is why you don't need a VPN if you use a Debrid service. No files are being uploaded. The Debrid service handles that for you by downloading the torrent to a remote server, than giving you a direct download link to the file. Nothing is being uploaded from your end.

  • No problem. It's a classic from my meme collection that is so vintage, it predates smartphones. I needed a good excuse to dust it off.

  • I put it in the space for the dishwasher. If you do not have such a space in your kitchen, there are standalone units, even countertop variants. You could remove a cabinet if you can afford to lose the space.

  • Some people will literally do anything to avoid using/purchasing a dishwasher. I don't get it. Hand washing is unsanitary, time-consuming, and wastes water. Just fork over the $600 and get one already. It'll change your life for the better.

Edit: Why are you booing me? I'm right! Are you seriously going to call Alec from Technology Connections a liar? Here's your proof right here: https://youtu.be/Ll6-eGDpimU#t=36m31s

  • I'm not the person to ask this kind of question to. I use DNS-level tracking protection in my router (via NextDNS), but I'm not a privacy expert.

If you're living in a country where censorship is a thing and/or privacy is of upmost importance, then you should still use a VPN in addition to a Debrid service with Stremio. Or you can nix the Debrid and just use a VPN if you don't mind more buffering and all the downsides that come with torrents. (VPNs can be setup to run on a TV through DNS settings either on your router or TV itself, though this may not be 100% secure. Again, I'm not an expert.)

  • The Trump-branded T1 Phone will apparently be made in America.

  • If you live in an area where you need a VPN to keep your ISP off your ass, well you're in luck because the Torrentio plug-in is compatible with Debrid services (Real-Debrid is a good one). They're cheaper than a VPN (less than €3/mo) and get you direct downloads which ISPs don't care about since you're not distributing files like you would with a torrent client. What's nice is that they work with any torrent—not just video—so you can download wherever you want at 1gbps speeds so long as the torrent has at least one seed. Since you're not actually interacting with the torrents themselves, there's no need for a VPN.

Setup is easy. The only thing you need to do is install the Stremio app on your TV, then open it and install the Torrentio plug-in. From there you configure your preferences like preferred resolution, language, etc, enter your Debrid service credentials if you have them; after that you install additional plug-ins for the kind of content you want. I'd recommend starting off with the Streaming Catalogs (lists popular content from Netflix, Amazon, Disney HBO, etc.)and Trakt.tv plug-ins (recommends content based on your viewing habits). There's also plug-ins for anime if that's your thing. Once you install the plug-ins you like, the only thing left to do is pick something to watch and enjoy. :)

You can also download the Stremio app to your phone and configure everything from there if you don't want to fumble with doing all of this with the TV remote. I'd recommend doing it this way so that all you have to do on the TV is fire up the Stremio app and enjoy.
