In political science, a reactionary or a reactionist is a person who holds political views that favor a return to the status quo ante—the previous political state of society—which the person believes possessed positive characteristics that are absent from contemporary society. I love supporting protests and am quick to point out how they can shift attitudes (e.g. occupy) but I would struggle to say one positive result from the pussy hat protest. Can you help me there?

If I had to guess, I would say it helped him with his base more than hurt him or helped the opposition/our side rally support.

It's something many/most of struggle with. It's not a death sentence or a stain on your character or some kind of moral flaw.

Sure but what's their excuse? Is everyone simply a huge Meta investor? That'd be my best guess for how multiple people try to achieve something like this without looking at the consequences - personal gain. But I'm still inclined to believe these politicians/surrogates want to do a decent job and/or get re-elected

I liked it but I also felt it was a bit outdated. I've gone back to it a couple times but during that, admittedly scattered, time I finished Taking Charge of Adult ADHD by Dr. Barkley and then recently started How to ADHD by Jessica McCabe.

I'll admit my opinion/openness to the book changed after I learned how effective and well-researched medication is and noticed he mentions a few times in the first few chapters how he doesn't seem to believe the science or just disregards it.

Note: Just checked and realized Dr. Barkley's book first came out only a year after Dr. Mate's so I guess they're originally not that far apart.
