  • I did read the post before constructing my comment and that's why I feel sad for seeing privacy concerns popping up at balena, because that's just my fav.

  • I wanted to initially reiterate swordgeek's thought as well, but I see what you have meant. If you refer to people dying from a sudden force, like being shot in the head by a sniper or dying while sleeping, then you do have a point.

  • Ahh too bad because balenaEtcher just werks for me.

  • Oh that definitely seem possible but I would assume going with a trusted seller with a warranty like goharddrive and serverpartdeal must be a safer choice in this regard.

  • Hungary, but these prices seem to be one of the best I was able to find currently.

  • Important question. Is this a 1 traveler vs multiple travelers situation or can I have teammates as well?

You know what? I don't even need teammates. I'm going to start a HUGE mass awareness campaign (it will be on the news, uploaded as a torrent on everywhere, etc.) for people to selfhost this data on their system and compensating them automatically by a script system with a fuck ton of money. The script will check if the data is still is in it's original state every month, and if it is then those selfhosters will get a lot of cash as a compensation. Ofc this script checking system will run on a bunch of different servers, like on thousands of raspberry pi 473883 chips located all over the world, so the time travellers won't find all of these verification systems in time.

  • Bingo! It's an app which fetches videos from multiple sources like Youtube, Odysee, Rumble, Twitch, Kik, etc etc, and you can also select which sources would you want to search from and in which priority order. For example if an X youtuber also uploads his videos on Odysee and you prefer that source more, then that video will be shown from Odysee in your feed.

  • TLDR:

    • Spent a third of their initial funding on buying a small clothing factory to give away free shirts to the first 20k subscribers (Noble act from them imo, but financially irresponsible to buy a factory for this)
    • Didn't pay taxes in the first 2 years (Apparently under 1000 users they don't need to do taxes or sm and haven't expected 20k users)
    • CEO (Vlad) thinks AI can give you unbiased reviews
    • Author finds AI tools bullshit and Kagi is doing and planning a lot of AI related stuffs
    • CEO is very opinionated and thinks that difference in opinions are "misunderstandings"
    • CEO personally writes emails to unsubscribed people about why they have left
    • Doesn't have GDPR cause CEO thinks email isn't a personally identifiable information

Probably I have forgot some stuff, but this is the gist of it for me.

  • It is definitely miles ahead in finding genuine content, but paying 10 usd for unlimited or 5 usd for 300 searches is too much for my wallet. I'm hoping if they get enough users then maybe they can introduce another price lowering attempt or pray that I can opt into a family plan with friends.

  • Oh was OKCupid a non Tinder like app back then? Good to know

  • Oh that's interesting. Your dislikement towards Mozilla's shenanings is valid, but what areas makes you hate Mozilla more than Google? Is it also due to convienience issues, because some sites are broken on Firefox?

  • THIS THIS THIS

In my case my mom made a sleep mask for me in 11th grade and I'm still using it a bunch of times.

  • Idk maybe Hungary is an exception but we have some beautiful looking universities in here or just ones which aren't brutalist.

  • I think the yearly once or maybe a yearly twice is good enough imo

  • Yeah unfortunately we as humanity are too recipient to negative content. Sm sm our ancient genes prioritizing fear to increase our survival chance in the wild.

  • Whaaat you can filter keywords? Omg this is life altering, especially that generally non-politics channels can sometimes get political related posts. Thank you for the idea!

  • Except on tech news I think

  • Well indeed I do. Usually the technology or maybe 196 are the main culprits with these negative posts.
