  • It was really difficult for me, although I don't play platformer games much

  • Ahh thanks for asking! I've just recently started playing the game starting in 1850 on the slowest date speed but it really does seem like a perfect game for autists (cause trains). My experience only goes to 1866, so do take that in fact.

My only reference point is Cities Skylines and obviously speaking the transportation aspect of the TPF2 is way more in-depth than C:S. Currently I'm easily managing the traffic issues, although truck stations can be sometimes a traffic bottleneck. Figuring out train routes, putting down signals, passing lines can be a good brain game for me which gives me a lot of satisfaction if I succeed at it. In terms of difficulty, I'm playing on medium without industry frequencies and the game just "snowballs" in difficulty. So if you prop down 1 or 2 profitable lines then your life already starts to get noticeably easier over time.

  • I did break my endevaourOS after I was unlucky enough to upgrade when grub got a huge non-bootable bug and probably there may have been some app bugs since which are minor tbh. Like currently I can't run the bauh app, because it misses "bauh" in the python packages (lol).

  • I'm venturing into Transport Fever 2 as a total newbie and I definitely fucked up my first attempt make a profitable line on medium mode, by overspending with a train line in 1850 already. Imma try only some bus routes now as a start.

  • I'm gen Z, and even though my knowledge about current meme topics have lowered noticeably, but I'm finding myself happy, since I still get a lot of infos from a VRChat discord server I'm active in, and an another one where my old and still uni friends posts some random shits about whatever dramas.

I feel your pain of feeling left out. I think as with most cases, being in the middle might be the best approach.

  • Gym memberships with predatory tactics are wild. An average Joe wouldn't think of needing to be cautios even with gym memberships

  • Totally flat design is getting boring to me, I want something that's more bold. It's just subjective preference.

  • Yeah my corpo laptop will update to 11 on July 10th. I'm going to be testing out in house app on Linux with an older corpo laptop soon

  • I love Material's dynamic color changing based on the background's palette, but it's still just flatshit with extra steps

  • May I know, what triggered her about your interview appearance?

  • Solitaire and chess. Istg, I'm not a boomer. 24 here

  • Basel 2 months ago. I've had the chance to get to know Basel's history and vibe in a gay date tour with my internet friend. It was soo lovely, even though I know that this 2-3 day of a date was a forbidden love in some way, but man these are GREAT memories to remember by.

  • WHAAAT LETSGOOOOO DABABY. Thank you PirateSoftware for the publicity :3

  • Well these are all nerd terms, because most of the community in here consists of IT guys and people who use Linux, most of the time they are the same. You don't need to know what Docker, Self host, Fork, Container, Flatpak, Tailscale, Distro, Wayland and Nginx is, unless you are interested in IT.

Knowing Federated and Instance could be beneficial for the Lemmy users I think.

    • Federated: Imagine you are the resident of town X, and you frequently communicate and engage in town X, but you can also communicate with your best friend who lives in town Y, and your parents who reside in town Z. This is how Lemmy and Mastodon works instead of social media like Reddit, FB, Insta etc etc, where with my analogue the residents live in 1 capital city with no towns to talk with, and having to abide by their rules, whereas different towns may have different laws.
    • Instance: Following my analogue an instance is a town of this federated world. For example you are the resident of sh.itjust.works town and I'm living in sopuli.xyz
  • Oof, although it doesn't seem too surprising.

  • Despite hearing Che Guevera's name sometimes, I've never known anything about them. These seem really cool, it's worthy for a good history podcast about his acts.
