  • I think we disagree on one specific point, I believe weak leadership is a guarantee when massive institutions can no longer grow and instead seek to cheat growth through political action. The vote of the people is meaningless when compared to so much capital. I believe it to be inevitable. Sure strong leadership could prevent this, ,but we elect leadership and are easily manipulated.

  • Except it is capitalisms fault. If the capitalist must make more money each year than it did the year before, eventually the only way to make that happen is by influencing elections to get bills passed that bring up the ladder behind you solidifying your monopoly, or by deregulating the market so you can produce more with less.

  • Great analogy, but I cant fully agree. It seems to me that capitalism will almost always act the same way, it will always seek out every manipulation and loophole possible to get money into politics and then its good game. The people will never be able to stay as informed and hardworking at voting for right people and policies, as private money will be at buying the worst candidates and policies. Greed is essentially baked into capitalism.

....Then again what system wont be broken by the worst parts of humanity given enough time. I feel like the constitution should have been more robust, set out ethical guidelines for the country, it would make it so much harder to be a piece of shit and claim you love America at the same time. Especially as I see nationalism as the final nail in our coffin.

  • Shoot same! I swear to God it was like the controls were broken on every rocket I ever made. No matter how symmetrical it was I felt like I was always fighting the controls.

  • He named them all actually

  • Capitalism is a cancer that destroys the best thing about humanity

  • 2 and 3 are the obvious choices, however id pick 3 and 5. Here are the only interesting pills available.

    (2) You can sell it

    (3) that's enough to go through a wall

    (5) a smart toaster has a circuit board that you could mcgyver into sending commands outside of itself, allowing ur toaster to be an entry point to computer telepathy.

    (6) Would be funny to feed this one to a person who had just died and watch their color come back, really fuck with the autopsy

    (9) Instantly cures any physical ailments preventing you from running/walking (unless we mean current albert einstein, in which case corpses cant move.)

  • I think people will figure something out when they begin to study the magical limb disappearing event and they find out you're the only person alive who was unaffected.

  • Try it out yourself. Some people react strange to the out of nowhere compliments, but not that they regretted hearing it. A lot of the things I am saying are simple things like "Wow you strike me as very intelligent" "You smile with your whole face" "You have such an awesome sense of style"

Its been really good for me too since a lot of times I meet people and my immediate reaction is to be intimidated since I see so many of their positive qualities quickly, telling them the things I notice about them actually helps me retain my confidence in those situations too since I am the one being a beacon of positivity.

Like with most things in life, putting in effort pays out.

  • I've been recently practicing voicing my favorable opinions on people to them. I've found I think nice things about people, and what is the reason why I wouldn't share that. Seems to just give them a little boost while also creating a better social bond.

  • Is the idea that it'll break Spotify preference to play only certain stuff?

  • So yes this is normal, and it will get worse, but if you stay fit you'll still be able to drink and stay up late, as long as you drink a lot of water.

  • Because politicians and the media figured out that the easiest way to get people to watch/vote was to appeal to their most basic hatreds and fears, and to even create new ones. Essentially imagine human manipulation as a game, and the game has been solved already. Now this can be countered by teaching people how to actually think for themselves and form their own opinions, but we constantly try and reduce access to education in the world. Were kind of just fucked until the aftermath of WW3 imo.
