You cant become a billionaire ethically, so its difficult to imagine that any of them are.

Poisoning a word that means "not ignorant of the systems of oppression in the world" sounds like a great game plan for the oppressor.

The problem that many people have with this argument that "China is going to influence us" isn't that we are immune to influence, its that the argument sounds extremely hallow when our own native social media manipulates the absolute shit out of us already... like what is China going to do that our own country isn't already doing.

This is the argument you hear from people on tiktok about why they don't care about the governments concern.

Well that and how its kind of disgusting how completely unified the house is in this bill, but couldn't give a shit about wealth inequality, corporate ownership of residential housing, rampant inflation, rising homelessness, school shootings.

I started small, I'd just make better decisions here and there, choose the healthier of two options, not eating the chips. Then I would make more healthier decisions, I should go on a walk, I'm gonna lift some weights. What ends up happening is once you get used to the easier decisions I would feel like I could/should be doing more. Eventually I'm dieting and exercising regularly and didn't even make any hard choices, just easy and small incremental choices.

Well yeah, that's my point, social media was new at that time when antivax was a meme, now it's mainstream. Social media just allowed stupid people to spread stupidity at an alarming rate, then we as a society learned how to manipulate effectively through social media. It's not like social media is some force of nature that accidently fucked up society. Social media is a tool that the richest and worst people in society used to fuck up society.
