They talk “parental rights,” because to them, kids are private property, not small, undeveloped people.

It’s dystopia.

I mean, that, and there are people like me who voted for them for years for reproductive rights reasons. If you can’t even get a right to birth control codified in the 20 years I’ve been voting, you aren’t effective enough to run the country. Thing is, it’s a candidate’s job to excite voters, and a party’s job to get them to the polls. The only duty a voter has is to vote. Besides, if the Dems actually gave a shit about the left voting for them, their policy would probably not be alienating leftist voters by blaming them every time the Dems fail.

Ok, but that’s not a useful statement. If you can arbitrarily change the rules or decide one person has the responsibility instead of another, you can decide the election without any direct involvement. And if they do that, I promise no one will give a shit whether it was direct. They didn’t directly stop abortion either, but birthing parents are still dying because doctors can’t help them. I guarantee their partners and orphaned kids dgaf if the Supreme Court did it directly.

And ffs, leave it at home or put it in a faraday bag (<$20 on Amazon), because phones track where you go, and the government will absolutely use that against you.

You can’t help someone who doesn’t want help, and you also can’t help someone who does want help if regional power brokers will oppose you on principle. It’s a noble effort for workers who absolutely need it, but that’s it.

You do know voting for a third party in a first-past-the-post electoral system is symbolic, right? It’s a system that just tends to steer in that direction, with or without extra laws around it. If you want a different system, great. But if you vote 3rd party in this one, I just hope you don’t live in a swing state.

I’m a leftist, so I’m not for either party either, but if you think they’ll do the same amount of damage to the country, you’re wrong. A shit sandwich is always gonna be better than a shit sandwich with glass shards. But unless you’re in a swing state, vote for whoever you like, you can’t harm anyone. I certainly do.

Raising taxes on the rich isn’t a crime. Nor is it even a bad idea.

I think that if the Republicans don’t manage to turn the US into a one-party state, Federman’s got a bright future, and his plain-speaking nature is part of that.
