You're right - I think but do not know he's worse and it's due to the global pattern of totalitarianism that the Right has embraced. I fear Argentina falling into that trap by electing a populist today that refuses to cede power tomorrow.

If he's the least bad option that's a commentary of the politics there and perhaps your conclusion is justified, I simply don't know enough about them to say, but a meh known quantity appeals more to me than a personable extremist.

To a large degree that’s what led people to vote for Trump - he was independent (not actually), self-financed (big nope) and an outsider (incompetent clown). Not saying this guy is akin to Trump but are you certain enough of that to still support him?

Argentina’s history has enough heartbreak and man this guy sure smells like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I get it. Hell it’s be far not the first time Argentina has been in economic crisis. It’s a rational reaction with a reasonable basis that ignores the likely consequences.

That’s the point being made here - you want different, but is he actually better? Populist gestures like “he gave his salary away” mean he’s getting paid via other means. By whom? Why?

What’s truly inconceivable here is that we cannot dismiss the prospect of him pardoning himself because the SCOTUS is laughably partisan as well. Even Nixon didn’t enjoy the benefit of unprincipled staff and jurists like this garbage fire has. The GOP is a true cesspool of partisan hacks. It’s stunning to see how utterly unpatriotic they openly are, whilst wrapping themselves in a flag whose ideals they disdain (and simultaneously flying flags of vanquished foes).

Was closing in on 14 years in Sept. nuked my account. F em. Hell I even paid for Premium despite using Apollo because I wanted to pay my share. How they treated users and admins let alone app developers was beyond the pale, I couldn't support it by staying.

Did that once years ago at an alternative club…security came over and said to cut it out or we’d be bounced. I laughed. They weren’t actually joking.

Ugh that sucks. I can only guess that it was an oversight but you’re absolutely right to be bothered. As you suggest, likely a moment of “get this bag out of the way”. Still upsetting for sure.

While it was thankfully brief I also was part of end of life care for my Dad and despite the anguish I took great comfort from knowing his last hours were with loved ones nearby and in his own bed. I wish that the knowledge you were there and helped brings you solace in your grief. You were there when it mattered most. hug I wish you and your family peace.

First off I’m terribly sorry for your loss. While I am by no means a paramedic I took first aid classes from one and this very subject came up (what to do with used PPE and such after an incident). We were told to just leave it pending hazmat-trained folks responding for cleanup. At a patient’s home it’s left and frankly not their responsibility - the patient alone is.

Sucks but they will indeed leave stuff behind - I wish it had been a better outcome for your family but I assure you they meant no offense or harm.

I purchased Apollo and also subscribed to Reddit premium as I was a heavy user and wanted to contribute my fair share. Happy to until…of course. Looks like a much better value here - an actual community. Worth my money (like Wiki too!)
