  • Thanks for being the sole voice of reason here. You laid it out so clearly and I wouldn’t be surprised if I was the only one to read your comment completely. It’s always odd to me how liberals in America get so offended and immediately abusive/dismissive towards anyone who dares contradict them. It feels like they would gladly tune in to Maddow every night to watch her tease them about another bombshell Trump tax scandal that doesn’t exist. They’re addicted to this drama, and they get every bit as furious as their conservative counterparts when you try to point out that they’re falling for literally the exact same fake scandal from 6 years ago.

  • That reminds me of a funny interview moment where some music journalist in the 2000’s asked Thom York, “So how to you respond to newer bands like Muse who are capitalizing on your sound?” And Thom goes, “Good luck with Kid A.”

  • This is a pretty typical Western way of completely misinterpreting karma. It’s supposed to describe how negative energy travels through the world, and white people just think it means “bad thing always happen to bad person”.

  • To me this is the same philosophy adopted by Israel when they kill Hamas leaders. This isn’t chess, folks. Killing the king does not end the game.

Name one time since Hitler that the death of a world leader has resulted in the end of an armed international conflict.

  • Completely agree, but I’ve been seeing so many similar sentiments on Lemmy since the election. Today I saw someone comment, almost word for word, that there was no problem with Kamala’s campaign - the issue was simply that Americans are too stupid. Someone else on a totally different post commented that this election proves the Dems could run Jesus Christ himself and half the country would still reject him. And those are just two examples. This is one of more unhinged meltdowns I’ve ever seen.
