  • Of course they’d care - it’s a super effective smokescreen to push either more money into their pockets or fascism.

  • I forget if it was 2021 or 2022, but didn’t we have a ton of headlines saying we would be entering WW3?

  • On top of that, they want more kids to churn into the workforce and military.

Why do you think there’s been some regression in child labor laws, and why do you think they stop immediately caring about the child once it’s born?

  • Honestly I'd take the "we are alone" route, Chrysalids and Floaters from XCOM can go fuck themselves.

  • mfw I found out oats can lactate

  • I would then be convinced that we are in a timeline where The Onion controls the universe

  • If this whole AI craze was actually about replacing labor, I honestly believe it would have started with firing and automating CEOs.

I’m not even saying that as a “eat the rich” shtick - AI is great at analyzing huge datasets and determining a conclusion from the results. It would obviously need refinement, but that would probably be the major role I could see it immediately taking over.

  • Honestly, it’s not even about the show - it’s the fact that Apple, more or less, is basically censoring stuff that badmouths China.

If Apple can do it to somebody like Jon Stewart, then what other companies are willing to do this - or even already have done?

  • Lmao, how is Lightning better than a USB-C? They’re both practically the same thing, even in durability. Apple might’ve made Lightning first, yes, but then USB-C came out like 2 years later.

Be real here: Apple only stuck with Lightning because it’s stupid easy money for them. Cables are hella cheap to make, and if you make them in-house, you basically spend like $2 at most to manufacture 1 cable. Lightning has the upside of both that and forcing people into the Apple ecosystem because their old phone cables can charge the new phones.

  • no ads from Micro$oft

    no tracking whatsoever

don’t need to spend money on a key if you’re worried about using crackers for Windows

less resource intensive and better performing than Windows

practically can do pretty much anything on Windows either natively or through emulation

customizable to the point people can recode bits of the OS

Yeah, I’m not too sure either

  • I’d be down for this if this also applied to all the CEOs and executives.

In fact, let’s make them come back to the office too - and make it mandatory that they have to be in their office working for 12 hours a day 6 days a week with a 1 hour lunch break.

  • Mage hand and offer ghost handjobs for $1000 per person per handjob

  • Cars are one of the things that actually empowers individuals to live their individualized lives.

So if I’m forced to live in my car or forced to use it because I would otherwise most likely be run over if I was riding a bike or the distance is too far for walking and I can’t catch public transit to my destination, am I empowered? Having a choice of how I want to get to places is empowering, not “oh I’ll guess I’ll go in my car”. I can see the argument for living in a car, but I also know that people sometimes make that choice because it is literally cheaper to buy and re-do a car so they can live in it rather than renting in some areas.

Cars are, and honestly should be treated as, a luxury good. It’s fun to drive around some routes form time-to-time, but I’d much rather bike or ride public transit to places rather than drive.

  • The reason I can’t be with anybody under 7’7”.

  • Water

    Jump
  • I freeze my shit so TSA is too distracted about me bringing my frozen water cooler bottle full of water.

  • But it doesn’t? It just says “when he was 14”, not “he is 14 and she is 31”.

The name and age of the lady in the little blurb under the title indicate her current age, not the age of when she did it.

  • I don’t want her tainting my TNG rewatch.

That’s when you learn to separate the art from the artist. Gunian has some rather wise words to say; Whoopi says some banal shit at times.

  • “Mentally healthy teens? Nah, I need more of them on Shitbook and Instacrap so I can sell their data and be even more disgustingly wealthy.”
