  • But that's not illegal. Apple can't force competitors to be influenced by them. If Samsung, Google and the like choose to be sheep, that's on them. I don't use Apple products. They're not impacting my life.

  • Not OP, but please, any answer you get, including mine, research for yourself. Most will just push their own opinion as fact. Or pass off someone else's opinion as fact.

In many cultures around the world, these terms are interchangeable. In the US, they were (and for many/most, still are) the same thing until not too long ago. When people were doing gender reveal parties 20 years ago, no one was correcting them that's it's a "sex reveal not gender reveal".

The modern usage of "gender" didn't exist until the 1950s, popularized by John Money, and if you want to research that deviant pervert, be my guest.

  • I was curious how smart ass your response would be. Right on cue.

How trusting of you. So your news source "reviews" the news, laced with its own bias and agenda, from another country, and regurgitates it to you. I'm honestly not sure if that's worse or better than getting it from the source country. I wouldn't trust my countries ability to provide me with unbiased journalism about the ongoings of another country. Especially if they're an enemy.

  • Probably not. I live in the midwest of the US. it's quiet, good school system, small town, within arms reach of several larger cities. Plenty of music venues, arenas close by. With one or two complaints about my state's laws, I am content.

If I had unlimited funds, I might look around out of curiosity, but I doubt I'd go anywhere.

  • It seems that way because you consume our media. Which is entertainment disguised ad news. News doesn't generate as much clicks and likes (and thus ad revenue) unless it gets people all riled up.

Plenty of things to fix, and no doubt there are better places to live (but you could say that about any country) but I have no desire to move.

  • GPM was my jam. It had simple features that I would later take for granted, like remembering the exact track I left off on, and the number of times I've played a particular track. I only keep YTM because it comes with premium (no ads on YT). The second they separate premium from YTM, I'll drop it.

  • While I overall like SNW (like, not love), Pike seems more interested in being a friend to his crew (at least the senior officers) rather than being an effective leader who demands nothing but the best from his crew. Picard and Janeway were great at this. They were friendly enough with their crew, but maintained enough professional distance to not get too chummy. Sisko less so, but he knew how to walk the line between friend and commanding officer.
