I should mention I live in Canada. The credits here are pretty nice. Maybe its worse in the states. It was absolutely comparable price to a comparable ICE car of its class here.
Right but with the credits mine was comparable to an equivalent ICE. So why would I ever pick the ICE car? More maintenance, have to pay more for fuel. No thanks.
Not arguing EVs arent more expensive on average but if the price is the same, the only reason to go ICE is if you travel looooong distances regularly, which most people dont.
Windows is designed for the average user and does very well in that regard. It prevents people with very little computer knowledge from totally messing things up.
Maine is primarily hydro so half by wind is an odd goal for that state. Boosting wind production is good and theres lots of it there, but its not like theyre burning mostly coal or anything.
Same in Canada. Every year we hear of at least one province debating privatizing healthcare as though thats gonna fix our problems and not just make it exponentially worse.
Im glad you pointed out the algorithm thing. Seems like people get fed up with social media platforms like X(?) and Reddit and then come to alternatives demanding the same features that, at least in part, led to them being fed up in the first place.
I actually disagree with OPs assertion that these federated platforms are 'almost as good'. Theyre better. More features doesnt mean a better platform and in my opinion often makes them worse.
New England has a decently strong Acadian presence. But Acadians dont typically think of themselves as French, per se. They think of themselves as Acadian. The French influence is recognized of course, but its a different way of looking at ancestry.
I jumped around a bunch and then went back to where I started. Ubuntu.
Why? Because I need something that works and I dont need to continually fiddle around with but I can still customize if I want to.
Does that make me a normie? Yup. Do I care? Nope.
Ubuntu go brrrrr.
