  • Tesla does a lot of things right - their cars are amongst the fastest around and their charging network is superior to any others to date

But their build quality is poor and their autonomous driving features are overstated compared to what they can deliver

Plus their service support is limited due to their direct sell model - there aren't many places to get Tesla's repaired

Tesla did make EVs mainstream though. Consider that their cars outsell popular ICE cars even though the Tesla's cost 50%+ more

So, it's a mixed bag with a lot of their customers, and some outsiders, absolutely fanatical about them, some people hating them by proxy because of Musk, and some people 50/50 on them like any car brand

  • I've been rear-ended three times in my car, twice while I had been stationary at a light for at least 5 seconds

Things like that are pretty much out of your control and go from annoying in a car, to injury or even death on a bike

  • Just had a Marketing colleague try to make the case for a SaaS solution telling us the justification was clearly articulated in our company-specific deck he created

Reading the deck and then checking the revision history, it's clear that buddy just pasted in the vendor's brochure ware

Some parts of the business have no place in actually selecting tech

  • Once we have nations fighting for water resources (tied directly to food production) it wouldn't take long before the entire population is at risk

Ontario's great lakes have been threatened with receding volume, pollution, and mass algae blooms that show how fragile even that massive resource is

Ground water across the globe has been mass polluted and drained to nothing in large areas.

We are a lot more vulnerable than it seems

  • Innovation and investment is the way to go.

In a lot of countries the electrical supply is unreliable, going down regularly

Innovate to create full-scale renewable grids (best if they can run decentralised when necessary) and invest in implementing these solutions world-wide

Use incentives, like trade agreements for countries, regions, or companies that implement the green tech to make it worthwhile
