  • I don't think any self-respecting couple would want to force an unwilling officiant to wed them

If the only people who can perform weddings are clergy and elected officials, they can make it so there isn't anyone to perform same-sex weddings

  • I switched to Liftoff from Jerboa.

There are a few features that either don't exist or I haven't found (jump to next comments thread), but it's worked really well overall.

For context, I use Relay when I'm on Reddit

  • The education fund is key. We put away money for our two kids, and the oldest has taken 1 year out of it. We have enough for 5 years of Canadian university between them (double that if they choose college instead)

We've always been fortunate to have decent jobs, but feel like the wealthy class when we can just fund their tuition like it's nothing

We put away $200/mn into a couple of Scotia accounts. I wish now I ran it myself and just put it into S&P ETFs, but it still worked out well enough

  • There are electric cargo bikes that you can strap large panniers or containers to

    Rad City cargo bikes

I personally don't ride anymore except for exercise, partially because I'm soft, and partially because there are not many safe paths/bike lanes to shopping areas

  • It's close to that but not quite - a dick cake is a dick cake, but a wedding cake with a man and woman couple vs. a wedding cake with a man and man couple is treated differently

So, this is treating representing gay marriage as if it is unethical and vulgar which is clearly discriminatory

The law still doesn't permit the shop owner to blanket refuse service to someone who is gay (or MAGA), but fully allows them to descriminate against gay people exercising the same freedoms non-gays have, like getting married

  • My understanding is that businesses can refuse services which conflict with their beliefs, morals, etc, not broadly refuse to serve people

So you can't refuse someone for being a MAGA clown, but you could refuse to print MAGA shirts for a customer

  • It was a super bigoted alt-right subreddit that eventually got banned

Someone recreated it on sh.itjust.works and started posting garbage

The greater fediverse caught wind of it and called for sh.itjust.works to be defederated.

The sh.itjust.works admins got rid of TD (and the user, I believe)

I'm not sure, but I believe at least a couple of instances defederated sh.itjust.works for a bit before letting it back in once action was taken
