  • I think Tim Sweeney is actually anti-linux for the consumer. Since the Deck runs on Linux, he has basically negative incentive for any of their games to run on it.

  • Celeste isn't the best example because it was made by a trans person. The story is literally about the dev overcoming their own internal issues with, and accepting, who they are. By default, most alt-righters aren't going to touch that game.

Good game by the way. Would recommend.

  • I would have to dig to find it, but I remember reading years ago in a Car and Driver article that EV's powered by even the dirtiest coal power plants will still return around 30 MPGe, which is better than most vehicles on the road today.

Granted that article was from before the Hummer EV, so I'm sure that number will have changed somewhat.

  • I recommend sharing this on the birding community on Lemmy. They'll like this.

  • Time for the Copper Country to come out of retirement.

  • Alternatively, you could go the hybrid route as those are arguably better for most people. Plus their batteries are often large enough you can get 20-40 miles of all electric driving. That alone covers over 95% of all people's trips.
There are a few options in that category. I believe Toyota's Highlander is a 3 row hybrid. I think Hyundai's new Santa Fe also has a hybrid power train with 3 rows. The Mazda CX-90 is another viable hybrid. Though Idk if that officially released yet.

But yeah, in terms of pure 3 row EV's, we're lacking.

  • I would recommend looking up Decree 770 that Romania enacted in 1967. I think we can expect a similar fallout to that if we choose not to help these kids.

  • Find anything, really. Look at your interests and hobbies and share your experiences with those.

I'm sharing photos I take in multiple communities: cats, aww, toads, birding, etc. I also periodically comment in the communities I'm subbed to so others have things to reply to.

Be the change you want to see in your community.

  • Exactly. Look at my post history for example. I've posted to some larger communities like Cats, but also to smaller ones like toads, mushrooms, and mycology to try to breathe life into them or to keep them alive.

If you want to see more content in certain areas, be the change you want to see in the Lemmy.

  • I played through the first one on OpenGOAL a few weeks ago and it was great. It even supports 1440p ultrawide. Would recommend.

  • Wait, is that why I randomly got locked out of my Spoofy account and despite submitting multiple password reset requests, nothing was ever sent to my email?

  • Alas, I do not. Hopefully I will the next time I visit him.

  • Michigan has been on a pretty positive streak lately. Doing me a proud. I hope they maintain this momentum.

  • Do The Hobbit first. Those LotR chapters get long.

  • I believe it started out as a joke to post ancient memes. And then it just took off and people kept posting them.

That and like most other people said: on average there are older people here, so they relate to the memes of yore.

  • AutoCAD for me. Though it's pretty rare, so it's not a huge issue.

  • I thought the reason the pyramids looked like that was because of relatively recent looting the nicer stone on the surface and leaving the older stuff behind. Prior to the looting they looked pretty nice. And by relatively recent, I mean about a few hundred years ago during European colonialism.
