  • Forgive any formatting or typos, this one ended up quite lengthy (and reading over it...length for what reason?!), but as ever - thanks to all for letting me share these kinds of posts with you!

  • I hope this help, then!

    :)

  • I'm going to send a link of this comment to Gardiner, I know he'll be so happy it has helped someone!

    Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Having personally used RetroDECK for a loooooong time now and nothing else for emulation? I can swear by it :)

    Thank you!!!

  • It's pretty easy if you want to try it. Both can coexist happily if say, you put all of RetroDECK on a micro SD card (the roms, emulators, bios, mods, texture packs etc all live on the SD card)

I've seen a lot try it out next to EmuDeck, and then make their mind up that way!

  • Like most with a Steam Deck, I started with EmuDeck. It's fine, and clearly used by the vast, vast majority but like you I just had my issues with it.

I had 3 emulators installed and the data (stored in like 289745873407 difference folders in obscure places) was around 32GBs. I love that RetroDECK can exist solely on the SD card, with no problems with performance at all. And that radial dial?! Magic!

I'm glad you enjoyed this :)

  • I appreciate you even bothering to go to the effort of sharing it around.

    Thank you so much :)

  • Oh I'd already posted it there also! Up to you if you want to remove it, but I always post to games and SteamDeck on Lemmy!

    But thank you :)

    • Sign up for a month for their free trial, use an email mask if you're so inclined
    • Claim the games, which again - you get to keep forever
    • Cancel the subscription

Rinse and repeat. Literally the definition of free. And don't act like I didn't remind users that this is done via an Amazon Prime subscription, there is no subterfuge here.

  • Thanks for the tip for those new to this!

I seem to have injured some people, I get the stance on Amazon - no one likes the megacorps. But if you're subscribed, I can't see how 'free' GOG games are a bad thing to anyone.

Appreciate your comment in here :)

  • How on earth does this lock you in?

  • Oh my gosh, that's very kind of you!!! I'm just glad you enjoyed it, because I love writing these!

It's far too kind of you to even refer to this in the same sentence as game journalism :P

  • I'll ask Eben for you!

  • I'm so glad!!!

It's SO bright and colorful and pretty, and it really is a lovely combination of genres. I think I got it from GOG, maybe it was redeemed on Epic, but I played it a few months ago and fell head over heels for it. Feels perfect on a handheld, too!

  • Funny you mention Persona 5!

Its the one game I'm sucked in to on my CFW Switch at the moment!
