I reckon a small amount of bacon just to add a bit of depth to the flavour. I wouldn't fry it too much beforehand, just a little. A chicken based Bol can be a bit meh (or some I've had were), so adding just a little bacon or something cured and strong tasting is a good choice. Maybe I'm just biased because I love the richness of beef.
So it turns out Miniest needs reading glasses. Huh. Didn't have that on my bingo card for this year 🤔. She's pretty happy to wear glasses too and luckily she looks good wearing them.
This morning Miniest complained she was cold.. she is fully dressed and has 4 doonas and 3 blankets on the bed! Meanwhile Elder is sleeping in a regular singlet and shorts with a fan blowing on his face and one doona and a blanket in his bed but not on it!
Workmates and I are going out for dinner on Friday night for the boss's birthday. The last time I went out for dinner was the work Christmas party 🤣It was going to be a secret but it had to be postponed a couple of times, so someone ended up telling him so he wouldn't bail on us after work 😂
I was a vegetarian for about a decade when I was younger, and I made a lot of dhals and lentil and legume curries. A lot of the food I ate was outstandingly tasty but looked like baby shit lol
Read another book (High Wire by Candace Fox) and in the brief bit of Sun we had, went out. The Minipeelers swindled me somehow into going to a local cafe where the San Sebastian cheesecake and tiramisu are to die for. Both were lovely as usual. Am now alternating between beached whale mode and doing odd little tasks like a load of laundry.
There's a lot of good in you Melba. I don't think anyone else would've shown Melbcat the commitment and love that you've shown. Your care for her embodies the ideal of every being deserving a loving chance at life. Not many people can say that.
Elder is a mad keen Fallout 4 fan. I love the Radio show on that game!
