  • My main gripe is all the AI art posts. The Jean ninja was good; cause it was real

Edit; my bad forgot shitpost responses were only valid. I’ll rephrase.

Jmy Jain jripe jis jall jhe jartificial jintelligence jart

  • They acquired far too much as they expected a $2B deal with Saudi Arabia. That fell through and they’ve been shedding everything but the CEOs (at least from what I can find)

  • My partner was like this till his 30s, and I was a bit jealous having been kicked out at 18. He was able to buy a house( with an admittedly amazing APR) with the money he was able to put away with this method. While he didn’t pay rent he helped around the house, and was a near-guaranteed dog sitter. I think that as long as the situation works for everyone it’s a great leg up. If someone has a judge-y attitude towards it they’re probably jealous haha.

Your parents (likely) had better opportunities to get that house than you do now. Give yourself some grace, just make sure you’re helping out where you can :)

  • Jokes on Picard, she IS the computer!

  • Ah my bad, the linked article didn’t specify and I wrongly assumed the angle the pic was taken at.

  • What you’re seeing is the flap, used sometimes during lift-off, but most commonly to apply drag for a slower landing. It’s not ideal, but flap-less landings are done and trained for. This plane was delivered in 1994, and they’ve been slowly phasing them out.

  • I get that, and I do my best not to feed the trolls, but it feels like they’ve been growing since I first joined. But just because I ignore it doesn’t mean I don’t notice it.

  • Maybe it’s because there’s less comments, but it’s felt needlessly hostile. Even a small disagreement leads to this weird ‘well you’re obviously a fucking idiot that has nothing worthwhile to say’. I didn’t have that impression when I joined post API BS, but now that I’ve noticed it it’s hard to ignore. A lot of people just reading what they want to read, and drawing conclusions that don’t relate to the immediate action.

  • I always think of Punnett squares when I see this meme variety. But I don’t see why just 2x2 square grid wouldn’t work as a header for the transcription that we’re responding to.

  • Growing up we had a German shepherd with HUGE ears we called Moose, but her main name was PITA. Now I’ve have a dog I adopted and gave the name ‘Dug’ (from UP), and will call McDouglass as a bit when he’s done something wrong

  • LED headlamps don’t bother me as much when I’m driving in a lit area. My main issue is driving in more rural areas (most of my driving) and it takes my eyes a moment to adjust back to the ambient darkness. You’re saying that’s a me problem? I was under the impression that was a pretty normal physiological response?

  • Top two ports boiii

  • I was in the same boat for ages and was happy paying as I kept the original rate. Then they bumped it by almost 50% end of December. Quit before the change took effect and have been using ad block ever since. The ONLY thing I miss is YouTube music as I’ve gotten too lazy to rip the remixes/soundtracks that aren’t on other streaming services.

  • Man, I miss Legend of the Green Dragon

I’ve had some fun with ‘Hosted Games’ on iOS recently and remember enjoying Lone Wolf as well if that helps

  • So we should just let 'minorities' suffer? The term appeasement comes to mind, as I don't know what else you could be advocating here.

  • My understanding is that in order to sell alcohol it needs to be available to 'the public at large'. Madison Square Garden lost its license after kicking out a lawyer for the same reason.

  • Semi-related fun fact that I like to share; Costco doesn’t require membership for alcohol or pharmacy purchases.
