I actually can, that's the beauty of language! It doesn't mean it has to change for you or anyone else, but every word is a symbol, and every symbol is subjective to the person using it. Obviously I know the historical context of the word, but that doesn't stop present day experiences from affecting those symbols in my mind. Unfortunately you can't control how I define or use a word, as much as you'd like to. If you love guns and war and organized mass murder, you're a tankie in my book.

Every time I open an NCD meme, it has a gun or a tank or a military drone or some other implement of murder and destruction. I've never seen one of these supposed genocide-defending "communists" in 20+ plus years on the Internet, so I repurposed the term to make more sense.

Like I said, I know what you all use it to mean and the historical context of the term, but language evolves, I just applied it more logically and obviously. Mine doesn't need historical context, a tankie is someone who likes tanks, jet fighters, battleships, trebuchets, etc. You know, large-scale murder fanbois. Like, yeah the hexbear memes are cringey and largely illogical, but half of them are about lgbt+ stuff or just nothing at all. The NCD memes are literally all about war. The whole basis of socialism is striving towards a society where everyone has what they need, not striving towards a society where everyone has a home-defense AK.

From my experience, "tanky" just means socialist/communist, which is an obviously idiotic, reductivist generalization. Based on actual reality, I don't know a group of people it makes more sense to call tankies than the NCD crowd.

From the "memes" I've seen there, it's just a bunch of bootlicking gun nuts and military fanbois. They're the actual, literal tankies.

To what?

Just buy their music! Those are the bands that actually need the support.

If you think the anti-abortion junk science was put out by shamanists, you have a massive misunderstanding of the situation and society at large. Not saying there's any credence to shamanism or homeopathy, but there's very little, if any, crossover between shamanism and hardcore Christianity.

Pretty sure that would only be blackmail if it was Putin's plan. Is he trying to take credit away from ISIS or was it a Freudian slip?
