  • Proprietary firmware on Google Pixel, blobs in Dasharo Coreboot.

On Android there are tons of video and image editors embedded in Whatsapp, Telegram, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok etc. but nothing comparable.

I find Desktop video editors confusing but I use Footage (GNOME) and "OpenVideoEdit" on Android.

  • I dont get the bottom chart then

  • I want to use OpenWRT too but have no idea of the hardware, and we have cable here, and there is no supported router with cable. Do you know if I could just use some proprietary cable modem and attach that? Probably...

  • Hm, I would contact upstream devs to support 2-4.1 then and find / create git repos for the missing libs, then include those as binaries in your manifest. This should avoid network access?

  • Why is reddit better than youtube? That graphic makes no sense, I can stream and download youtube, but reddit blocks anyone using a VPN and even forbids Lemmy links.

  • Very neat!

Always nice to have inline images :D

  • Is that webkit version outdated? In general you should try to support one of the supported versions.

  • Just reinstall plasma-desktop or however the metapackage is called

  • You will also need to use snapper before every apt-get upgrade to avoid these issues

  • Damn I need to find out if that works on my machine.

  • Screenshot or didnt happen :D

You can use Emacs for panels??

  • No there is nothing FOSS. Everything there is is proprietary. Even though Tesseract OCR is FOSS.

You can use Google Camera and Google Lens on GrapheneOS I think. Google Lens may need play services.

  • If you give me more details maybe I can say something else :D

At least on Fedora, official tarball (firefox and firefox-bin), Fedora Firefox, Librewolf RPM, Librewolf Flatpak, Firefox Flatpak, torbrowser flatpak, Thunderbird flatpak, selfbuilt Firefox nightly, Chromium RPM, Chromium Flatpak and Brave RPM all work flawlessly when it comes to Wayland.

  • Yeah thats not usual behavior and your system is likely broken

  • I'm confident by then it'll be good and ready.

Depends. Cinnamon Desktop is not a huge project, so yes it may be more stable because of how Mint releases stuff, but also it is not GNOME, KDE, COSMIC, or one of the wayland-only windowmanagers, so it may be less complete.

  • Why did you switch from hyprland to sway?

I have no experience with both, but to my knowledge they are similar, but hyprland is aheads of wlroots
