More evidence of the GOP mantra; use threats of violence to get what you want. This is what their voters want for the country. To be able to get what they want, and use violence whenever they don't to force compliance.
I saw a decal on a van that said “Just a regular mom raising lions not sheep” and I thought “more like raising bullies not responsible citizens”. It’s where Karens come from; it’s where crazy parents getting teachers fired comes from - this idea that it is totally appropriate to use force, threats, proximity, and volume to get what you want instead of negotiating, accepting the rules, and admitting that you’re wrong and the world doesn’t bend to your rules. And somehow, we’ve given these people their own talking head to justify their behavior and he just might win the presidency. It’s astonishing.
Sorry, I didn’t see you participating in the post. Most of the other people posting in here seem at least committed to stopping Trump from seizing power, but I understand if you feel it’s more important to vote your conscience.
No one in this post is telling anyone to not vote, we just don’t want Biden because we don’t think he can win. Everyone in here will vote for Biden if he’s the candidate.
Yeah, it honestly looks like it’s not bad. If it was a bullet, he’s quite lucky! IMO, more likely it was shrapnel if the prompter was hit (I have no evidence for that tho).
I left from Reddit after the AMA with u/spez and over the API. I knew at that point he wasn’t relenting on the third-party apps and the loss of access for me personally, but mostly for the deaf and blind community, showed me that the CEO had no intention of putting accessibility over profit. I was an Apollo user and I was looking for an alternative while continuing to browse Reddit - using them as a resource, as I always had - and I was seeing censorship abound. Reddit was blocking mentions of alternative sites and blocking discussion about Spez, which just solidified my decision.
I used those last few months of Apollo to help with the protests (John Oliver in /pics) while exploring other options (I started with Mastadon simply because they had an app). When that was over, I went full fediverse and never looked back (okay, I did participate in the r/Place that they ran soon after to contribute my pixels to “fuck spez” one last time).
I am someone who has had very large breasts and fairly small breasts in my lifetime. When my boobs were big, wearing bras was manageability and comfort. They were heavy and hurt my back and were always in the way. In addition, it was hard to do any sports or be active without being, what I called, double strapped: having a bra with a sports bra over the top. This is how I got through high school.
Now that I’ve both had a breast reduction and lost a lot of weight, my boobs are smaller and I don’t wear a bra often. When I do, it’s a vanity thing, I think my boobs look better under some clothes when wearing a bra, and a utility thing, like when I’m working out or doing something strenuous. Also, I wear one when I’m at work because it seems more appropriate.
Trump and Biden should put out a joint statement condemning the use of violence as a political weapon, according to Fox, adding that he fears there will be more violence following the shooting.
Local police officer encountered shooter before he fired towards Trump, AP sources say

Not long before shots rang out, rally goers noticed a man climbing to the top of a roof of a nearby building and warned local law enforcement, according to two law enforcement officials.
One officer climbed to the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder and Crooks quickly took a shot toward former President Donald Trump, and that’s when the U.S. Secret Service counter snipers shot him, said the officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.
The best part is there was a police officer who climbed the roof and saw the shooter, who threatened him with the gun, so he turned around. Trump got shot because of scaredy-cop.

When was the last time a Democrat appeared in a political ad with a firearm? More of the right’s projection and gaslighting.
I don’t see political ads - do the ones Biden’s running say things like “Trump must be stopped at all costs?” I just worry that the dems will take the bait and turn down their messaging while the right keep the flames burning.
