Hit the nail on the head. Theres been noticeable push back these last 2 months, but i expect worse as we edge closer to november.

They also completely ignore bringing the Ukrainian genocide when its brought up, even though russia has repeatedly now called them a stepping stone in denazifying Eastern Europe.

For all of Status Quo Joe's issues (and theres a million) he still doesnt compare to trump (and his billions of issues) in terms of how much damage they can do/are doing to the country and the planet as a whole.

Well thats just not on par with reality. Low voter turnout has historically aided republican candidates.

God i fucking hope so. Theres a massive push to convince folks to stay home or vote third party. The best hopes señor racismo has of winning is low voter turnout. Id like to think that the shrinking republican base, coupled with their continued attempts to appeal to their fringes, will swing the election to Status Quo Joe, but i cant help feeling worried.

This is my experience as a Polish-American. There was nothing leftist about the USSR. Breadlines, famine, genocide, blaming us for their tanks in Prague, etc. are not leftist policy. In fact, theyre kinda the fucking opposite.

Theres very good reason why us Slavs hate their shitty state, its 800 years of imperialism, their insistence that they are our big brother, their misinfo/disinfo that theyve always weaponized, and their constant claims that all the rest of us have less claim to our own countries than they do. As if Poland wasnt 200 years older, anyway.

And then they claim any bad word about em is nato propaganda 🙄 like sir, my people have put up with their shit for their entire history, several times longer than nato has existed.

Over in Eastern Europe it has been known for a while (read: centuries) that the russian state weaponizes rape and torture of women and children. I dont mean, "oh war is terrible and leads to rape and torture," I mean, "the russian state specifically weaponizes the rape and torture of women and children."

The idea is to demoralize the native populations and spread their "superior" russian blood.

Source: am Polish-born American. My fellow Slavs have villified the russian state especially despite having a long history warring with many many more enemies.

The crux of my arguments on here remains,

Direct action, mutual aid, voting, and solidarity. Pursue as many of the options as u can, but it is naive to pretend u wont have a much harder time under an open fascist.

I make music, primarily, but i also bounce a lot. I really love writing, which comes easier than music tho i do it less. Past that hiking is like an "as often as possible or my mind will break" thing. Even our tiny local park is nice for this purpose, but i try to get around as much as im able. I like corrupting the advertisements i get in the mail with sharpies and make them look more blinging. And satanic. Or perverted.

Bc boomers have strangeholded our govt for decades. Its convenient that now that theyre dying off this is the shit we get to try and elect the actual genocidal maniac and not the dinosaur keeping to the same foreign policy the US has kept for 70 yrs in order to keep our other allies from thinking we will abandon them the way we did the Kurds or Ukraine.
