This is such an incredibly stupid take. Like working from home has anything to do with how massive Microsoft and Google are, they were huge before WFH.

You also seem to be under the assumption that everyone takes public transit to get to work. The reality is, many of them will commute to work in their car. This is terrible for the environment and clogs up the highways with people who don't even need to be on the road and can just do all their work from home.

You just sound like one of those people who works a job that can't be done from home and is just jealous of the ones that can. Work from home is a huge benefit for employees and the environment, saying "Microsoft bad" doesn't change that.

Not sure about default but I'm using Sync and it's got a keyword filter. Using it to block Musk and Trump, made a big difference.

I'm in the same boat, I spend way less time on Lemmy than I did Reddit. I consider that a good thing, happy I made the switch. Plus I feel like posting/commenting on Lemmy is much more rewarding than Reddit so that's another bonus imo.

It took me like 5 minutes to find an alternative to Aniwave. It follows the exact same format and everything.

You can get lunch meat that doesn't have cultured celery extract or sodium nitrate. It's usually only chicken or turkey, ham pretty much always has it in my experience.

I've also been meaning to make my own using a ham press.You have to grind the meat, fill the tube and boil it. Then you can cut into slices and it's almost the same as what you get in store.

I've held this opinion ever since I saw the movie Next. I remember sitting there after it ended and thinking it was all just a waste of time.

Hollywood always fucks up movies based on games. I'm not expecting much from this movie.

I've wanted to get an EV for years now. Just don't have the infrastructure in my area yet and out of my price range. But I didn't consider buying used. It's great to hear that I shouldn't concern myself with replacing the battery.

I read that the issue with used EV's is that you eventually need to replace the battery pack which can sometimes cost you as much as the car.

Edit: Seems I was misinformed. Glad to hear that replacing EV batteries is not much of a concern.
