  • I believe it. A really good liar is hard to beat. Growing up, my mother was a narcissistic psychopath, and that turned me into the most elaborate, sensical liar. I don't generally use it for evil, but I've gotten myself out of so many problems by navigating hairy situations on the seat of my pants. I hate how my childhood was but I appreciate the skill I gained from them, it'll serve me well when shit really hits the fan.

  • My point wasn't so much for the training but how easily they picked up on it.

If you want a better example, I was at a bar in Lawton ok, home of ft sill. At a bar one night I saw a fight happen where 2 civilians took on 5 military personnel out of uniform. (Dunno what units or rank or anything) The civilians did wind up getting the shit kicked out of em but 2 of the military guys got really fucked up, one looked like rocky after the first movie, the other was unconscious on the ground. If you think about it in a life or death situation, yeah the 2 guys would be dead, but so would 2 of theirs. That means the next 2 guys who come up against this crew (now consisting of only 3 guys), have much better odds. It's not thousands of little fights, it's one continuous fight.

  • True, but nobody knows what you're good at until you try. You'd be surprised by people and what they're capable of. Some of the best soldiers I saw in the army were gangly dorky looking dudes that had never fired a shot before training. In fact, those guys are easier to train than "good ol boys" because they haven't picked up any bad shooting habits.

  • You said hard cunt and yank, I suppose you could be Canadian but they tend not to use the word cunt. And if you're anything else then you're definitely trying to be like someone from one of those countries. Why?

  • I get that. I used to follow (not believe) conspiracy theories because it's so fantastical that I read them as like, life fanfic.

But these people don't share my type of interest in it. They're more like Christians pushing their beliefs.

The reality is that we're all just human. None better than the rest. But the thing is no individual or even group can say they 100% now how the full functions of the economic machine we've built even work. Let alone geopolitics or the myriad of other functions of the global society. We're all on a ship with no captain or crew, and while we try to get the smartest people in the right positions to figure it out and get us moving the right direction, it doesn't always work when we succeed and definitely not when we fail.

  • Clearly I'm not going to win an argument about hating America if I do as well. But there are a lot of us here that haven't done anything wrong and have done everything we can to stop/change things.

And yeah, the fucking BRITISH of all people have room to be judgemental of America.

    Edit: /s

Edit edit: also, I want to point out that the spanish, French and British did the colonizing. We took it from them. And THEN we did the horrible stuff to the people who were left.
