The demand isn't there, that's supply side. Just because drug A could potentially kill this many people, doesn't mean it will, as those drugs are used by a select few, usually people who have a high tolerance. I assume you already know this, just putting it out there for the people who believe their bullshit.

The second part. It's the second part. Whether you consider "humanity" as all human life, or just modern civilization, is what changes this point.

I'm a millennial... The Internet had the promise of great things. Sharing the entirety of human knowledge with all, right?so much promise. But it's mostly used to share brain rot videos and misinformation. Like your one sentence quip that didn't provide anything beyond snark.

How tf are you talking about the positives of the Internet while people are getting abused because of it? Bandwidth being higher allows them to spy on you more effectively. Availability hasn't changed enough for that to be relevant unless you're talking about spaceX. Which is owned by possibly one of the most evil people in american history.

If I had my way, the Internet never would have existed. Despite the positives, I feel it's done more harm than good. It had the capacity to do great things and yet we used it to spread misinformation and evil. There is no benefit worth the evil that's happened due to giving everyone a voice. "Freedom" doesnt come from some obnoxious cunt ranting from their $80,000 truck drivers seat. Burn them, burn them now and let's move forward.

Exactly. He doesn't need to ruin movies. We know that movies are for entertainment, it doesn't need to be dissected as fact. And we certainly don't need someone taking our escapism away from us. Let us have this, dude. We need this right now, including from the time he became prominent. He killed Pluto, which I guess is fine because it was accurate, but he didn't need to shove himself into movies and try to ruin our very-much-needed escapism. It's egotistical, and insulting, as if we don't know that it's a movie.

He is a know-it-all ass. He's a self-important dickhead. But I appreciate his role in getting young black kids seeing a role model that they can relate to. That's far more important than his ego.
